Hello again! There were two really fun and funny sets in my very big package of goodies from Alex Syberia Designs... a big day of coloring Underwater Wonders later and I have two more cards to share with you! Let me show you my creative chaos first:
I stamped every one of the images from this set, and Copic colored them. Fortunately, I could make very quick work of die cutting!
These two deserve a closeup...
The background of my 'aquarium' is a pretty piece of aqua vellum from a friend.
I embossed it using ASD Mermaid's Melody cover die - this is the BACK side of it!
Tucked in a few dozen sequins for bubbles and voila!Next up: Pengu-Tastic Holiday! Oh, you guys there are such darling penguins in this set that are up to all manner of shenanigans. Take this guy - he might have had more than one coconut drink...
Here are the sets I used for this card...
I found the perfect panel of smooshed distress inks in my snippets ...
We all need to take his lesson seriously - beach more, worry less - words to live by in the Summer - or in Winter if you're 'down under!'
Thanks for stopping by - thanks even more for your kind words!
=] Michele
These are amazing! Those little images are the CUTEST!!! Of course, they come to life with your coloring! They make me giggle!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are AWESOME Michele and definitely gave me my morning smile!! The expressions on these sea critters faces are just too funny, and yes, I do believe the penguin has had one too many, but he doesn't seem to mind and looks like he's having a grand ole time! And all the colors on the outfits of the first card makes the sentiment absolutely perfect...LOVE it!! So glad to see you having FUN with all your BIG prize winnings!! Can't wait to see more!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteYou have two more super fun cards from your winnings, Michele! Love these little sea creatures all dolled up to say hello and that penguin is hilarious and makes such a fun card for those who like to celebrate a lot! Love the sentiments too!
ReplyDeleteI will send you a photo of my desk if you want to see real chaos !!!! Yours is positively tidy in comparison. Two fun and fabulous cards love the faces on the penguins they look like they just don't care. Gorgeous colouring and love the embossing folder used back to front. You are so clever.

I can see you had fun making these. Love those 'merquins', such fun and great sentiments too xx
ReplyDeleteSo dang cute!!!! These silly guys have my heart (well, as a matter of fact, so do you!)! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThese underwater creatures are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI am taking your advice and am officially on holidays and we are going to 'beach' and 'camp' more and definitely worry less lol. I am looking forward to the reset and hopefully you won't forget me, Mwah! ps LOVE your fab designs, I also bought one of those penguin sets, I hope it is the one you used today, I can't remember... is that bad?
ReplyDeleteWell if this isn't a whole lot of cute, I don't know what is! Thanks for the giggles and smiles, these are oodles of fun!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to have won goodies to play with. Those images are wonderful and your cards cute.
ReplyDeleteOh my word, these are hilarious! What a wonderful way to start the day!! I love their funny faces and the antics they're all getting up to. You've colored these so perfectly, Michele. I adore the little guy making the most of his coconut drink. Just too stinkin' cute!! Congrats on your big win!
ReplyDeleteYou take fun and make it fancy, Michele. Those mermaids are indeed fabulous and the vellum made a wonderful underwater background. The sequins were the perfect final touch. Mr Penquin looks like he's having a gay old time and that found smooshed panel was a great choice to add a little 'summer' to the card.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, these are so much fun!!!! Penguins AND mermaids - almost soo much to bear. I love the way you colored these partying penguins, and LOVE the way you did the background with the vellum. Fun, fun, fun. And great advice!!
ReplyDeleteHA!!! These are adorable! I need to take the 2nd card's advice.....
ReplyDeleteI don't see chaos, I see a creative mind at work Michele! I love how you colored each one of these "critters". You are just a genius at everything! Your shaker card is just way to cute, love those penguin mermaids, they just make me laugh. Wild and crazy and just having a good ole time! But it is the second card that has caught my heart. I love that background on the summer and leaves die cuts, love that summer and leaves die! Then there is the character on this one, he just looks like to much fun to be with! LOL I love this card and the sentiment! I'm with him! LOL Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards -- the first with your fun-loving couple and the second with the fun sentiment, word die and melon-icious colors!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fun and adorable cards.
ReplyDeleteOh, tee hee, I LOVE these! You just have to smile. What great cards for sending someone a happy vibe. Those babes on the first card are looking lovely, and I agree the penguin may have been imbibing, or maybe he's just loving life. I totally agree with the sentiment. Your smooshed background piece made the prettiest leaves and sentiment. So cute!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so fun, Michele! I love your wonderful coloring of all the little sea creatures in the close-up pic! The shaker element adds more fun to the first card. The funny penguin and the sentiment are perfect for summer, and the soomshed die-cuts are a great complement to the penguin!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
