CAS[E] this Sketch #381

My last post held a clue for my CTS#381 card … act surprised... here's our Sketch:

 

I've been waiting for the opportunity to use

this MFT Hey, Sunshine! cutie again!  SO happy

I now have the dies, too!  Gotta love those sales!

 

Here are my Copics:

 

I stamped my sun-bather on Bristol because that is the paper I used for my pool.  A word about that:  wait for it to dry, or heat-set that ink before Copic coloring on Bristol! 

So!  Whether you fill your panel with pool water, or a sandy beach - we can't wait to see it!  See you in the CTS381 gallery!

Inspired By #133 ... pretty blossoms

The gorgeous photo inspiration for Inspired By #133 is of the most beautiful bouquet - most likely a wedding bouquet with that gorgeous ribbon wrap.  I found the soft creamy dreamy white so pleasing, I started there, and dry embossed my Bristol card base using a stencil [the same one I used for my pool reflection act surprised when you see it again today, okay?].

Of course you'll spy a few of those soft colors in my Copic-colored piece, too - today I've used Hero Arts/Gina K Design's Friendship Blooms.  I'm already sorry I didn't include a satin ribbon - perhaps YOU will?

 

I haven't seen any of my teamies' cards, so I'm off … hope you tag along, you won't be sorry - hope we have just the way to inspire YOU to play along with us at IB133!!

This time stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossed.

Then some quick and easy water coloring with Altenew Watercolors

These EBE Essential Rectangles make wonky wonderful!

 



My final card for today uses Brandi's Mondo Pansy … I kept my Copic coloring simple but borrowed a free photo from the interweb for inspiration...

 

Not quite the right colors in my Copic stash, but I've made do.

 

  I did a bit of fussy-cutting on the right edge of blooms -

it was easy!

MFT Sketch Challenge #497

There were a few goodies in the last MFT June release that I just couldn't say no to … it's hard isn't it?  Until our Lake Michigan water levels go back to normal, this might be the only beach-going I will do this year!

Laura Dovalo created the most amazing 'pool water' with a stencil offered in the newest release! I just had to see if there was a stencil in my stash that would work - you'll tell me if it worked, okay?

 

 

It isn't quite as perfect as Laura's but I like it!!  I used MFT's Sketch Challenge #497 as a guide - so I'll toss this into their 'pool!'

Inspired By #132 ... summer fresh!

If you know me at all, you'll know that I was like one of the monkeys jumping on the bed[ding] when I saw our inspiration photo this week!  LOL  It didn't take more than a moment to find my cue from IB132...

I had the perfect stamp set on my desk at the ready … all it took was a quick 'stash-shopping' for some fun Catherine Pooler inks to [kinda] match that one-in-a-melon* duvet!
