Mix it Up Challenge: with Winnie & Walter

It's no secret that I adore Winnie & Walter ... how convenient that Ellen Hutson has chosen them for their Mix it Up Challenge for August =]

Oh you'll be seeing me a few times mixing it up for their Artist Call, too - fair warning!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #15

There is a special friend that I must celebrate today ... amy T. this is NOT your card, but certainly is indicative of my thoughts!  [the real thing is on it's way - you know me, late for everything!]

For Stamping Smiles Designs Tic Tac Toe #15 ... yes I'm back ... with Burlap, Word Dies, and Bokeh Effect:

My 'bokeh' birthday balloons are quite difficult to see, but that is the idea, right?  'Oh' was created by snipping a few letters from the Mama Elephant die cut words.  And the 'burlap' is that favorite of mine, [remember my waffle paper] in white.

amy, I do hope you have the very best birthday and do every fun thing your heart desires!!!  love you bunches! xx

Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights Challenge

I am a big fan of Ellen Hutson, LLC ... big.  I love her shop, designers, The Classroom, and challenges - all of them - but often have the best time in The Mix Up challenge finding fun, and pun-y new ways to use the Ellen Hutson by Julie Ebersole sets.  Like this one, or this.

As I'm browsing on Instagram, I see Ellen's Calling all Artists call to action ... I cannot help myself, I must at least try!!

So, Ellen and team, here is my card to throw in the ring ... well ... it's a card in a frame to throw in the ring!!

A quick and easy [but for a special someone] gift from a shadow box frame, using Altenew's Way Too Sweet on the inside,  and Julie's sweet Hello from
 Mondo Magnolia on the outside!

The toughest part of this fun project was keeping my reflection out of the photo - that you do NOT want to see!

Ellen, I do hope you like it!  It sure made me smile to make it for you ...

Featured Artist at Tag You're it =]

Tracey McNeely and I FaceTime on occasion ... it's not as wonderful as seeing her up-close-and-personal, but I'll take it!  Last week she floored me when she asked if I'd be the Featured Artist at Tag You're It!  I cannot say no to this friend!!!

I hadn't quite gotten enough play-time with my current favorite from Wplus9 ... what perfect sized blooms for a .... -wait for it- .... book-mark tag!!!

The lovely blue ribbon comes from Verve, and Altenew provided the inks.  There is a little surprise between the layers, for a special little reader in my life:

The dry embossing really provides just the right 'space' to slip this over her last-read page!

Thanks, Tracey - you've given me such an honor - and the opportunity to play cards with you, and your fabulous team?  What a pleasure!

Hope I've inspired YOU all to make a tag of a different kind, for Tag You're It #53!

Freshly Made Sketches #248

FMS248 is a sketch by Linda, who has been so sweet to me, both with comments, and choosing my cards on occasion for the HM gallery.  How could I not play along?  Of course her sketch is fantastic... check it out:
Both my husband and I are in love with our birds ... so doesn't it surprise you that I haven't a feather in the house?  I've made do, I hope!

I've created my own candles using some fabulous papers from two fabulous, generous, friends and BOTH papers are from #PTI ... do they know how to please me, or what?

Speaking of pleasing ... how about that sparkle, huh?  Pulled out the Ranger Stickles - take THAT illusive WOS!!!

Hope you add a whole lot of sparkle to your day!  xx  Your visit has surely added to mine ...

CAS[E] this Sketch #184

Once again Sam Simpson has created a fabulous sketch ... I felt I had just the perfect Altenew set for it!

See if you think it works for CTS #184:

I'm making an attempt at creating nearly one-layered designs.  It was difficult to 'say when' without adding a few sequins ... or dew drops!

I'm sure my team-mates have lots of different designs to share with us ... let's go see, shall we?

We'll see YOU in the gallery!  Thanks for the visit!!

a Lucky Day!

Imagine my delight when I found a challenge for a little card I made [inspired by a little naughty pun with a friend] a few weeks back for another challenge -  I missed that deadline for a reason, it seems!  Bonus, right?

My pun-y card is heading over to Color Throwdown 404:

I think it has found the perfect home after all!

I know you won't mind if I give you this bird ... sentiment courtesy of my naughty side =]

Thanks, Amy Rohl, for choosing the perfect colors, and for that fabulous photo!  Bird.  dog?  Both cute I think!
