A deep dive!

I recently subscribed to Altenew's Craft Your Life series... how I would need another floral set is beyond my comprehension, but when I saw this stencil [and learned this was the only way I could make it my own, I caved.  Buckle up, my friends!  This is a long one!

Meet Expressive Flora:

After getting really comfortable and finding 'my way' I spread my wings
and decided to have a bit of fun with the background layer - #6 in the order
of stenciling quickly became #1 for me as it allowed the 'shift' in their instructions
to make perfect sense to my brain.

With a very simple [unnamed] basket weave sandwiched with that background, I achieved this:

Here's that aforementioned sandwich:

Then this:

and one more to fill another square in my Altenew Fan Club Crafting Bingo!

Thanks so much for stopping by - do you agree that I made the right decision on that purchase? lol  And there is a stamp & die set, and embossing folder yet to play with!
I'll be back...

Wow! I would say that bundle is lucky to be in your crafty hands! I love the different color combos and how you added the grid/graph pattern is genius! I'm tempted to buy the series but I'm sure it would just sit pretty in the Altenew box. I'll just enjoy your cards for now ; )

Wow these are beautiful Michele. I love the way you did the last two with basket weave "sandwiched" background. The gray & yellow color combo is perfect. Yes, I think you made a good decision, although I am with you, what do I need another floral stamp/die set for. Most of mine are that, but I love them all.

I saw Jennifer use that set and was smitten but thought I didn't need any more flowers. I didn't realize you could only get it through the subscription. You've used so many different colors for the flowers and leaves and all of them are beautiful, Michele. I also like that you can do something different with the background.

WOW, I am totally impressed with ALL the beautiful cards and also what a brainstorm to create the background, I'll have to give that a try if I have the nerve lol!! Anyhow, I don't blame you joining to get the beautiful stencil, you will get many uses out of it for sure!!
