Color Hues #130

Nancy is our hostess for Color Hues #130 and I just love her choices...

You all know by now I'm not a big fan of blue - but I LOVE navy!
Combined with pink?
YES, please!

I had my Spellbinders Wonderful Tulips set out and decided to give it a go through
my Betterpress system - since I can't foil!  YAY! It worked using black Versafine ink!

Then I chose C&9th's Dragonfruit pink and The Stamp Market's Navy for
the layering stencils... I love how it turned out...

After die-cutting, I ran the 'leftover' through my Betterpress with an un-inked
Spellbinders by Lisa Horton Script Text plate and topped it off with one of
Yana's Bouquet of Hugs Betterpress-ed sentiments and a few 'dewdrops.'

You may notice a little added detail for depth using just two Prismacolor pencils.

Thanks, Nancy!

I had just pulled this set out the other day and then ended up putting it back...must have known you'd do something much better with it, and you did! Your card is absolutely GORGEOUS Michele! So many lovely details like the black outlining, the inking behind the bouquet and detail with the colored pencils! I'm loving that sentiment too...can you leave that set out for next week please?!! Beautifully done card my friend and thanks so much for sharing it with us at Color Hues!! Hugs. :0)

This is stunning Michele!!! Your aversion to blue sounds a lot like my aversion to purple. (and I make no secret of it either. LOL!) I love the soft shadow to your florals. Thanks so much for playing with us at Color Hues!

Love the tulips with the extra pencil shading! One week ago I walked in 40 acres of tulips just south of Portland and never saw the blue leafed variety. LOL Dragonfruit was one of my color choices too.
