How do you bring light to a gloomy day?

The view outside my studio window is pretty gloomy -

A little game of 'where's Waldo' with Mr. Cardinal helped bring a smile...

Did you find him?

This gives me the perfect opportunity to share that I discovered the 'culprit' with
linking my card the other day... it was the TITLE or FILE NAME of my photo!
Yep, take it from me: do not use punctuation in your file names - one lousy
little apostrophe caused a great big headache with that Linky Tool! lol

I decided to embrace the day with an all-neutral card made with another birthday gift from a very dear friend - Concord & 9th's Autumn Inlay had been on my list
for a while... thank you for giving it a tick sweet friend!

The sentiments here are from Pigment Craft Co.'s Split Sentiments: Autumn.

a smattering of gold paint brought all the light it needed - see if you agree...

When my world gets a little too dreary, all it takes is a very white, beautifully bright CAS card to brighten my world.  Every year I make some iteration of this card, but today's is especially for Jen T. at Freshly Made Sketches #662!

A few old favorite dies from EH backed by a brand-new embossing folder
Bark from Simon Hurley for Spellbinders!

This sentiment from The Ton allows
me to share it with Just us Girls: Word Week JOY!

Thanks for dropping by today - your kindness always shoos that gloom away!

I know all about those grey days, so miserable and terrible for photography. Your cards are gorgeous, love the white on white with the pops of gold. So classy. Glad you found out what the issue was xx

Love both of your cards, and yes, the gold splattering makes it shine. The all white card is pretty also. Thanks for shaing.

New goodies will always make me happy, too! Wonderful inlaying and I look forward to more color combos from you! And that white on white made me gasp! Must find that EF!!

It's been gloomy and rainy here all day too. Thanks for brightening it this evening with your pretty cards! Love the bits of gold you added to your fancy little autumn number. But it's your white on white with the gold peeking through that has me swooning! So pretty, Michele. Thanks for playing along at Just Us Girls!

Gray days are always such a bummer, though hard to avoid here where I live. Your pretty card with gold spattering definitely brightens the day, if your cardinal didn't clear it up right away. Those tiny houses are always a joy to see too

Both are so different and so beautiful! I love the fall colors you used on the inlay and the splattering of gold is just right! And then there's your stunning all white winter scene - perfect!!

I actually think that's a wonderful scene outside your window, Michele, especially with the birds hiding in the berry branches. Your Autumn card is very autumn-y lol with those colors and your sketch card is very snowy all done up in white. Thanks for sharing that one with us at Just Us Girls.

I think I've been enjoying your birthday gifts almost as much as you have. Your autumn card is gorgeous! The view outside your window is still lovely, but in a different way. The cardinal is well camouflaged and what a nice surprise when you spot him (her?). Interesting about the Linky issue. I looked at my title and file name from the problem I had recently and not the same culprit. It appears there can be more than one troublemaker. Lastly, Michele, I simply adore your clean, white, beautiful Christmas scene. I have a thing for little houses. I have a thing for a lot of things, ha, including embossing folders, and this bark looks like something I'll have to get my hands on sooner or later.

I spy that beautiful cardinal hiding in the berries! A perfect way to brighten up a dreary day! I LOVE these beautifully colored inset leaves! What a nice birthday present! The embossing folder makes it look like blowing snow behind this peaceful village! I love the golden glow in the windows!

Both cards are great Michele! Love the inlaid look of the fall one (and the colors!!) and the Joy card is so much like a snowy day where everything you look at is powdered with white. FAB cards! Thanks for playing with us at Just Us Girls!
