Here I am sharing one card to two challenges - the opportunity only just presented itself after reading my friend Bobby's post announcing that Time Out #260 is looking for stripes! I hope this doesn't smell fishy... it was created for Freshly Made Sketches #629!
My card features that darling Fintastic set from The Stamp Market...
I don't know what it is about that guy that screams poisson [fish in French] but a striped 'shirt', beret, and kerchief suddenly seemed fitting!
My little hook is from my HoneyBee Rod & Reel set but the bait was right
there in that TSM set.
Okay... how about the stripes, you ask?
I have embossed dots in stripes, and the lower portion of my panel is
embossed in stripes... you may see them better here...
Oh my gosh this fish is so adorable. I love the beret and stripes.
ReplyDeleteOui, oui, this little French fishy is oh-so-cute!
ReplyDeleteSo many different types of stripes and still it is a beautiful and perfectly CAS card xx
ReplyDeleteWell, this is total cuteness! Love that striped fish fabulous job
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, I love your French fish x
ReplyDeleteI see all of the stripes scattered among all of the cuteness! I hope that cold you mentioned is of the weather kind and not the sniffly kind... if not feel better!
ReplyDeleteYou know how I feel about all your fish cards, and this one is no exception!! The black, white & red color scheme is a favorite of mine and I love how you incorporated all the stripes! Seriously cute, CUTE card my friend!! Hugs. ❤️
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable french boy, well handsome! His attire is definitely on point and so are all your stripes -- adorable!
ReplyDeleteThis is the CUTEST card I have seen!! Pure genius!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteSo here I am wondering if this fish is French or is in jail? Either way I adore this card and it totally made me laugh out loud!!
ReplyDeleteChef's kiss to you! What a fabulous card. I'm so sorry you got a spring cold. I sure hope you feel better really soon. Masked hugs to you (sorry, I don't want another cold)!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Michele. What a great take on "stripes". Such a great way to use the sketch and incorporate stripes too. Love the black & white Pierre le poisson's Parisian flair! I was so happy to see your #1 entry at Time Out today. Thanks for playing with us!

ReplyDeleteOh, that fish in his beret and kerchief... I love him! You know he's a pretty good mime, too, but not as annoying. Crisp and cute, perfect for the two challenges. I also love your perfect little quilting thread bow!
