On my way to making a card with lots of green, and a little luck, for Double D's Green challenge, I found a prize that they so kindly sent me a few months ago! BUT while coloring my prize, I remembered a different challenge that might get a chuckle out of how I used their 'squares!' Just for you, LeAnne, and Paper Players #682.
This is the only set I have from Darcie's Heart & Home... I love how they color their packaging!
There was another little green guy [Concord & 9th: Snail Mail] who is making his way to those lovely Double D gals... slowly but surely...
I love this sentiment set from Altenew - but I sure wish it
read: You've got this! I know [according to the interwebs] that both
are acceptable but somehow it just seems wrong to my eyes!
What I find very pleasing to my eyes is this embossing - the result of shopping for Lisa's little flowers... both found at JoAnn's... from Park Lane.
Hope your Easter weekend is wonderful!

HAHAHA!!! I love your pickle card! I may have to go find that stamp set myself, it's a hoot! And green is my new favorite color this spring, so this ticks all my boxes, especially since you used my sketch! THANKS for the chuckle! (And I am with you on the you/you've thing!)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Love both cards soooooooooooooooo much, jo x
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun card, Michele. Shapes are just shapes and I like that you mixed it up with the different circle size images. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us at Paper Players this week. Cheers, Jolanda - DT
ReplyDeleteThis card says fun all over it. So cute! Thanks for playing along with The Paper Players and making us smile!
ReplyDeleteOh my - your card is full of punny green goodness Michele, I love it! Such a fun take on the sketch. Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteOh, ha! I love your pickle card! Gosh, I don't even remember that set as a prize, but it's so stinkin' cute! Seeing it all colored up on your darling card makes it even cuter. Perfect dill colored background, too. Onward to your Double D card... I love a happy little snail who doesn't eat the plants, such as this guy who is trailing along through the un-munched foliage. Cute and pretty at the same time! Thanks for playing along with us, Michele!
ReplyDeleteThis is a dilly of a card! I LOVE IT!!!!!! So happy you joined us this week at The Paper Players!!
ReplyDeleteHa, that's a fun pickle card and, of course, I love the green. Your leaf embossing folder looks very special too. I agree re the sentiment. It should be you've. Happy Easter weekend to you too xx
ReplyDeleteYOu certainly got the greens going. The pickle card tickles me for sure...and your little snail...aww adorable.
ReplyDeleteOMG how much fun is this card! I would have never thought to purchase a stamp set like this but you've certainly brought it to life! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute pickle card, love it. Your snail card has a lovely background. Both cards are great.
ReplyDeleteDill-icious cards! So fun!
ReplyDeleteHow fun is this! You put that prize to good use, Michele! That little snail always makes me smile and I love the new background... it came home with me today! 40% off ;)
ReplyDeleteWe all think you're a big dill when it comes to making awesome, punny cards! Both are cute, sweet and oh so green 😊
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card Michele! Made me laugh! xx
ReplyDeleteTwo cute cards Michele! The pickles are so unique and unexpected and definitely so fun! The snail card is adorable as well, but I concur that it would read better If it said "you've". My grandmother was an English teacher. She would have been correcting me if I said it any other way. Have a blessed Easter my friend!
ReplyDeleteI love that pickle set, Michele. All the fun sentiments and that big pickle. I'm glad you brought that snail out again too. Great find in that embossing folder to make a place for him to wander.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so cute Michele! I love the dill pickle card...what a cute set! I love the sentiments that come with it and the tie too!! And your little snail card is perfect for the green challenge too! Awesome cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteA card with pickles is a big dill, my friend! How fun! Your second card has a sweet snail (sometimes they can be a bit gross), and beautiful spring leaves!
ReplyDeleteSquares or circles--those pickles are just too cute! And I love that little snail on that leafy embossed BG. I don't mind the sentiment as such--I guess I've seen it that way so many times over it just seems acceptable ;)
