Who can eat just one handful?

Or not make a second card for Freshly Made Sketches #618?  Looking back, I feel like my first attempt [while really fun] may not have been true to Ceciles' Sketch.  Heck, I may have failed a second time, but had so much fun trying again!

This little die+stencil set from Waffle Flower seemed like it needed to live with us - we are really big fans of that buttery snack!  The stripes on the box are my stand-in for Ceciles' paper stripes!

This particular sentiment was found in their Puzzle Sentiments,
but it seemed to fit - like butter and popcorn!

[the cover panel was an exchange from Kim S a few years ago - thanks Kim.]

I won't know for sure if the FMS618 gallery is still open - I'd better go find out!  But before I leave you - here is a taste of our weather this weekend!

The view from my studio!  I'm staying in!

Tom shovels a path on the deck to feed his Bluebirds -
and I guess to grill??  OY!

  1. What a fun little set and you used it perfectly! This is super cute, Michele. How much snow did you end up with? My brother said it took him 2 hours to get home from work!

  3. It's a winner! Well the card is but also the content! Apparently we share more than one thing in common, Michele... boy have I got stories about popcorn from this house.

As for the snow -- LOVE IT! While it's cold and too many people don't know how to drive in it, I absolutely love it. In fact, I'd rather take all your snow and give you the -7* we had yesterday! Yes, too cold to snow, but it'll come, though probably not in the amounts I want 😁

  4. That was a perfect background for the cute box of popcorn, Michele. We have very little snow and the sun is shining right now but the wind chill factor is at advisory levels. Actual temperature is 11. I'm staying in too.

  8. I saw the sketch in the last try and see it again in this! This one is making me hungry for popcorn! I think Tom may want to wait a bit on the grilling. That's a pretty snow!

  13. You are definitely best to stay in. That's an awful lot of snow and what a good excuse to stay in and eat popcorn. Great card and I am sure it fits the sketch perfectly well xx

  14. Goodness, that snow -- yikes! It's a good time to have a toasty warm and secure house. It's beautiful to my eyes as it's a novelty here. I LOVE your popcorn card! We're fans here, too. What fun with the sentiment. The cover plate is perfect. I can hear that popping now!

  16. I too am looking out into show covered trees and yards and birdfeeders. Not as much as you maybe 2-3 inches, but I do love how serene it looks. ANd since we have zero need to go out I get to enjoy it...maybe with a few handfuls of popcorn later on. Love your card.

  17. Fabulous take on the sketch Michele, I think it works perfectly, it's just that the stripes are incorporated not actually 'behind' the image, love it! I'll be there for the grill if he cranks it up lol.
