Have a Norse Fall!

I loved Diane's hand-stamped tartan plaid over at Double D Fall Plaid challenge, so I set out to create another using my PTI Watercolor Plaid builder stencil set.  THEN I heard the call of my favorite Norseman ... I even managed to give him a touch of the Scotsman...

After coloring him with Copics, I added the plaid using Prismacolor pencils!

That big ol' Fall is also from PTI - but you might see that I've added a little more detail to my PTI plaid?  I used a very old EH Plaid Maker stamp set.  It was a little busy, so I cut my panel into a frame using a MFT Elegant Rectangle die - also to create the 'barrel*' he's perched upon!  The leaves?  negatives from the sentiment with a little simple veining with my pencils.

Here are the inks I've used over a pale grey cardstock...

Okay, off he goes to the Double D Fall Plaids challenge!  I hope they love him as much as I do!

*That 'barrel' was embossed with a CTMH Wood slats embossing folder - a gift from a friend!

  1. Oh dear, I turn my back for 5minutes and I miss a whole load of loveliness on your blog. I am loving all the plaid and those tangerine and violet cards. Just perfect. I have been in Liverpool for a few days on my annual trip with my sisters. I had never been to Liverpool before and I was very impressed. We had perfect weather too xx

  7. Your Norse viking would not be happy if I called him cute, so I'll just say he's quite handsome with that plaid background and big bold sentiment!

  11. Your plaid is fab, Michele. I wish I'd brought my plaid stamp with me. I think I may have inadvertently given my Norse man away. I love how you gave him a plaid shirt.
