I must thank my good friend, LeAnne for introducing me to the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers' group! I sure did drag my feet this year and needed all the help I could get to get a jump on my Christmas cards!
The BYSHC photo inspiration grabbed my attention, and I knew immediately which set to reach for: Pigment Craft Co.'s Jumbo Botanical: Berry Sprig!
Here are my inks:
and a little closeup of that sparkle... and a peek at a little sprig of vellum, too...
since LeAnne influenced my playtime, of course I'm honoring her with this
wonderful SU Tasteful Textile embossing!
and along the way, I found another great use for my Waffle Flower Grip Mat!
The Ton makes these wonderful two-step sentiment stamps, after cutting with
their all-at-once die I cut an extra set for layering. By popping them out of the
die right onto my Grip Mat they stayed put while gluing the stamped layer.
I hope you all have been better at getting a jumpstart on Christmas - maybe you could use a fantastic little challenge inspiration, too?

ReplyDeleteBeautiful take on the inspiration photo.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the softness the vellum adds to the beautifully textured background. What a perfect balance of both softness & texture.

ReplyDeleteLove this mistletoe and these colors, Michele! Loving all that texture too!
ReplyDeleteAnother beauty, Michele! And I love that you were inspired by the wreath for the BYSHC Linky Party! You really captured the idea of it and the colors! Love the use of vellum, too!! I am so glad you were inspired to join us this week. Maybe you will decide to stay on the roll of Christmas cards and join in on the monthly sketches. If not, we have another week-long party in November! Thanks for linking your beautiful card in the {BYSCH} Blog's Christmas in July gallery!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty this is?! I love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You got the mistletoe just right. And yet another reason to love the grip mat. I have a hokey way of managing that sort of thing with repositionable double stick tape, but the grip mat would be so much nicer and have multiple uses to boot. Sold!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Christmas card Michele! You are well on your way with starting your Christmas makes now! I love this image, love the colors and of course I love those vellum leaves! How fun that you found another use for the WF Grip Mat! I love those sentiments. You have the coolest supplies my friend! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely, Michele! Love the texture of the background and the sprig of vellum! Thanks for sharing another useful way of using the Grip Mat!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
I'm so sad I couldn't get that embossing folder. It is wonderful behind that giant mistletoe branch. Such a lovely card, Michele.
