FMS#596 and BYSHC and DD Christmas in July 2023!

Just in case you need it: FMS = Freshly Made Sketches BYSHC = Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers.  I have been so lax about making Christmas cards this year... it was time I added a few to the stack before July is behind me and the behind-er I get!

FMS#596 has a very unique Sketch for us this time - thanks Judy:

Keeping all the decorative elements to the top of the card [or side if you flip it] proved to result in a very cute spot to park one of those darling Colorado Craft Co. images.  I will be making another card for BYSHC as I just cannot resist their wreath:

Ready for my card?  First, let me show you the 'pile' of Copic's used today...

Worth the time and number...

CCC: Wonderful Time + dies and 'Tis the Season from The Stamp Market
HoneyBee Stamps Bee Bliss papers to define starry sky and snowy ground.

I have ONE more for you today - the girls from Double D's Christmas in July challenge called my name...

this little birdy answered ... although she'd be happy in a cocktail, my
wreath will have to do today!

This little Tweetie is another from Lil' Inkers that we
cannot get anymore - sadly.  Water colored with Distress inks.

I hope you're having a great week - thanks for sharing your day with me!

  3. LOVE both of these card, Michelle. I always find inspiration from you. On the top card, I love the way you kept your design on half of the card, but added a second patterned paper to your background (genius!) and the other card has that classic peaceful feel for me of a CAS card with some extra white layers and textures. I might be doing some more shopping - but need to know what embossing folder you used for the background! Love how the snow is heavy at the top and light at the bottom of the card. Thanks for adding your card to the {BYSHC} Christmas in July Linky Party! Glad to see you in the gallery!

  4. Oh! Abundant cuteness today! The meeces had my heart, all colored and die cut and looking so adorable. Then along came the bird! I have that stamp and have used it a LOT. Was thinking about pulling it out again this year. I have the similar deer, too. So sad when they went out of business. Love your bird on the wreath. It's a perfect stamp for a CAS card. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful bird with us at Double D!

  19. I haven't made one Christmas card yet! Yikes! Talk about being behind Michele, I'm behind! LOL I love that you got started, your first card is adorable. Love your take on the sketch, the image you used is just too cute! I also love your second card, mostly white on white with a bit of color-stunning! I love that snow embossing folder. Who is it by? I don't think it is available anymore, right? Love the texture it adds to your card. That wreath is fabulous too as is of course, the image. Hugs, Brenda

  20. Both Christmas cards are so cute, Michele! Love your wonderful coloring of the image of the first card! It WAS worth the time and number of Copics you used! The two different patterned panels make a unique background especially with the big white space below.
The white wreath on white snowy background of the second card looks awesome! The colors of the little Tweetie beautifully pop.

  21. Yay for adding to your Christmas stash, Michele. I don't know why I didn't bring more Christmas stamps with me but I do have a lot made. Those mice are darling decorating the tree. I love the bird in the wreath. Is that like a bird in a bush? lol
