I had this gorgeous Waffle Flower Crafts Orchid Layering Die set out yesterday. Jaycee Gaspar [from Altenew] recently reminded me of my love of grey...
If you do Instagram, you can find his version here.
It was easy to use these products again with the appropriate colors for
That same WF Orchid, and Altenew's Vintage Tile embossing folder.
Orchids cut from white and dabbed with Brilliance Galaxy Gold
mounted on Concord & 9th Parsley cardstock.
Then reversed: Parsley orchids, and a gorgeous matte gold cardstock from
a sweet UK friend. Have you noticed I didn't include any sentiments? Think I was at a loss for words? Ha! Never gonna happen!
So. Now which of the two gets sent to the Color Hues gallery? You'll just have to go find out - hey, while you're there why not play along??
=] Michele
Like you need 'reminding' of grey (wink), they are all stunning Michelle (especially the grey one)!
ReplyDeleteMichele... all of these are gorgeous! I love the dimension. I am actually at your site looking for examples of mixed media. I don't think I do mixed media but then again I am not really certain what mixed media entails. I am investigating.
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING!
ReplyDeleteWhile the green and gold are amazing, that gray was over-the-top fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWow! All that gray is so elegant with all that texture! Love the green and gold cards too, especially the white orchids with the gold centers! Awesome embossed backgrounds too. I often leave off the sentiment because I am apt to find the perfect card for someone, with the wrong sentiment. I'd rather add it when I'm ready to send or just leave it off. But then too, sometimes I just can't decide what to say.
ReplyDeleteThree beauties my friend! The first one is so dramatic and I love the gold with the green blooms!
ReplyDeleteThese cards took my breath away! Impeccably designed!
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure to find you in the Color Hues gallery Michele ♥
Absolutely stunning! I'll pick my jaw up as I exit. That is all.
ReplyDeleteMy mind is blown! These are all incredibly stunning Michele. The grey card is ah-mazing!!
ReplyDeleteAll three are stunning! And your beautiful gold and green is the first to appear in the Color Hues gallery--what a way to start the month! As always, thanks for sharing your talents with Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteWell, I am at aloss for words in response to these incredibly glorious designs. Breathtaking. That is the best one. You have outdone yourself. Again.
ReplyDeleteYou're definitely never at a loss for words Michele, but I'm so glad you left the sentiments off all three cards as they are BEAUTIFUL just as they are!! I'm just blown away by all 3 of them and can't even pick a favorite, although the gray is simply STUNNING!! But the green and gold are SOOOOO pretty too! Fabulous, FABULOUS cards my friend! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteO.M.G. You get the overachieve award today. These are beyond phenomenal. I think I need to do some shopping. LOL! Just gorgeous Michele. Thanks for playing with Color Hues.
ReplyDeleteWOW these cards are wonderful! Love the gray one particularly. Teehee, now I need that embossing folder.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning cards!!
ReplyDeleteAll 3 are beautiful - my favorite is the white with the green background....really pops!
ReplyDeleteTFS
Oh. My. Goodness gracious! Your first card is like a sculpture and it really needs to be displayed in a special place. I'm stunned. There are not adequate words. The second two cards are gorgeous in a different way. They would drop my jaw if it wasn't already on the floor from your dramatically spectacular gray card. You sure rose to the green and gold challenge! The slight change in position of the embossed panel gives quite a different look to the gold card. Also, it looks like you've used the debossed side of the folder on the gray card, or maybe my eyes are deceiving me. Truly amazing, Michele!
ReplyDeleteI almost fell off my chair. That gray, with all the dimension and texture, just blew me away, Michele. And the two different looks you got with the embossing folder in the green and gold is amazing. I bet you sent the green one to Color Hues. I'm going to go check. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow - absolutely gorgeous, Michele! Both are so pretty but I kinda took a liking to the white/gold orchids on parsley!
ReplyDeleteYou're a gal like me - if I'm ever lost for words something must be terribly wrong!!! Everything is delightfully RIGHT with these cards. Your eye for design is amazing! LOVE the embossing folder!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are stunning, Michele, but oh my, that gray one is jaw-droppingly gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt was I that was at a loss for words when I saw these stunning cards, Michele! The gray monotone card is just like a sculpture in a museum. I LOve the design, the dimension, and the texture. The green and gold cards are so elegant and have a sense of nobility and dignity. Amazing work, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
This is you at your very best. Simply amassing and I am so pleased that the gold card is still proving useful. It certainly looks the part on this card. I can't choose between them though, they are all amazing and so nice to see that grey back again xx
ReplyDeleteMichele, I have no words for how fabulous this post is from top to bottom. I have a dear friend that has over 100 orchids. I have to get this for her. I love what Hilary wrote...This is you at your best! So inspiring! Thrilled to have you in our gallery at Color Hues.
ReplyDeleteMichele, I am always in awe of your cards, but these three have to be some of my very favorites. So elegant and each with the perfect background behind the delicate and beautiful orchids. LOVE! So glad to see you in the CH gallery, thank you so much for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteThe gray card is a showstopper - the 11 o'clock number for sure! Beautiful display of cards made from the die set - wow!
ReplyDeleteWat een mooie kaarten !!!!!!

Wow, wow, wow! I'm speechless! First off this layering die set is just gorgeous and you have brought it to life beautifully, which only you can do! I also am loving the background embossing folder you have used, I'm guessing it is an embossing folder anyway...but could be wrong. The all gray card is just stunning and amazing looking! The green and gold....well what can one say but, WOW! How to pick which one I love better? I can't! So elegant, so rich looking, so stunning! You have outdone yourself with all three of these Michele. Just amazing! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDelete...stunning.....amazing....
