Do you ever buy something and totally forget you had it? look who I'm speaking to! Ha - we've all done this more times than we'd like to admit!
These two [MFT Old Friends] just had to come out to play today and why not have their outfits coordinate with the Color Hues #56 challenge colors?
It has been so dreary lately - sorry you'll have to trust that Madge's earrings, beads and binding are indeed red. That gorgeous embossing plate is from HoneyBee - isn't it something?

I have a similar set and it has yet to be used. You might just have inspired me.
ReplyDeleteAnother cutie! Those two look like they're up to shenanigans for sure! And that embossing folder....WOWZA!
ReplyDeleteOh, ha! I love it! The couple, the embossing, the entire card... the sentiment is giving me giggles. I totally agree. Every time I look through my stamp drawers I see something I forgot about and would love to use again, yet I keep buying more, tsk tsk.
ReplyDeleteI love everything you do/create! No dreariness here, just sweet old folks, with sparkle in their eyes. And that EF... perfectly lovely!
ReplyDeleteWOWEE that EF is spectacular!! Love the way you layered it up as the background and on the heart with that cutie patootie pair front and center!
ReplyDeleteThat embossing folder is, indeed, a stand out! And the sweet couple are just adorable. Love that the heart is embossed with the same pattern. Such a classy card! Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteNot sure how you forgot about this sweet couple (I would never do that...hahahaha!!!), but they just couldn't be more fabulous all dressed up in their pink & red!! And I love that background! And the sentiment too...sooooo totally you!! FABULOUS card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteOh my friend, this is so fabulous! What a sweet couple. And that embossing plate is stellar. Love that sentiment, too. Just a bit cheeky, like you!
ReplyDeleteMe, I have never forgotten one purchase I ever made...Cough! ;) This card is absolutely adorable. Your coloring is fabulous as is the embossed heart and background! Always lovely to see what you are up too and have you in our gallery at Color Hues. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI sent a similar card to my daughter and son-in-law for their anniversary last year, Michele. I did cut off the canes since they're not that old. lol I love that set and now that I've seen both cards I'm pulling it out to remind me to use it again.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the embossing plate Michele, it makes a fab background for your grey haired couple. The addition of the sentiment is just perfect! So happy to see your take on the Color Hues combo in the gallery. :)
ReplyDeleteYour NBUS friends (that means all of us!) would love to see your inspiration in the NBUS gallery, M! We not only don't use what we buy, we buy doubles. Oy! I, too, have this set (enabled by Bobby over a year (2?) ago!) and I have yet to use it, so thank you for this really elegant design idea - which I love! Of course, amazing and fun sediment! Hugs, D.
ReplyDeleteThose colours look fab and you are absolutely right about the embossing plate xx
ReplyDeleteLovely, adorable card! But goodness yes - that embossing plate is a showstopper! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Chrissy
Shenanigans is one of my favorite words on the planet! These two are fabulous in pink!
ReplyDeleteThe old couple is so cute, Michele! Your coloring is wonderful using the challenge colors! The background embossing is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI hope to be "young at heart" when I get older. :-)

I was hoping you'd be in the CH gallery for this challenge, Michele, and you did not disappoint with your fabulous card! Loving that charming couple and the fun sentiment. I think all of us have forgotten treasures in our stamp and die "collections" lol! So glad you rediscovered this one and used it to joined us!
ReplyDeleteOh this is so very sweet. I love their co-ordinating outfits.
ReplyDeleteMichele this is the sweetest card. Love your colouring! Thank you so much for sharing with us at the Color Hues!
