Between this gorgeous photo of leaves the likes of which I have NEVER seen [what is in the water in Minnesota, I ask you?] and the card/video from the fabulous
Jenny Colacicco, I just had to pull out some Copics to play along with
Altenew's November Inspiration Challenge! As my post title teases, this isn't my only card...
Jenny - I didn't have the dies you used, but I managed to make it my own, adding veins
with Copics instead of a stylus!
I loved that my Grid cover die didn't cut through on a few of those little squares - gave me the perfect spot for extra glue, and a few foam squares, too! Plus there is plenty of my yellow card base showing through. Oh - the sentiment is another tease about Take 2, coming soon!

Thank you, Altenew! Such an honor!

ReplyDeleteWOW...this is a beauty Michele! Your Copic colored leaves really do look like Paradise and look fabulous against the white grid and yellow background! I've never seen leaves like the inspiration photo either, but I sure do LOVE your interpretation of them! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteBright and beautiful, Michele! I love the leaves and the background!
ReplyDeleteThe saturation of color is gorgeous, Michele, and I'm eyeing that grid die. It worked well for pieces to remain for gluing down those leaves.
ReplyDeleteOMG! This has to win. It's gorgeous and those little extra squares really served a purpose. The color of those leaves is so vibrant it makes my heart skip a beat. An audible ooooooooh was released when I first saw the card. GREAT work of art.

ReplyDeleteTHUD!
ReplyDeleteBoth your and Jenny's leaves are gorgeous, Michele! Your leaves are just as bright and colorful as those in the inspiration photo, and the blend of ink colors is fantastic! The grid background with un-die-cut squares is perfect to highlight the leaf colors!

Ditto, Therese!!! Oh my goodness, Michele! I have to say this is one of my all-time favorites of your creations! I don't know how you blended your inks to come up with such a striking palette, and your cover plate? Oh my word, girl...it's PERFECT, especially with all that lovely yellow peeking through! If you're not the winner of this challenge, I will eat my hat...on top of the Empire State Building, hanging upside down, in my jammies!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see 'Take 2'...are you using your Bird of Paradise? I'll have to stop by every day to watch for it...Hugs to you, my sweet friend ~ xx
