A year or so ago, I managed to 'melon-ize' just about everything!
Today, I just borrowed the colors, and saw IB179 in a different way:
Okay, so those shiny enamel dots won't win me any seed-spitting contest,
but I hope this causes a smile, or two!
Before we head over to see my teamies cards, I want to share
another little One in a Melon card I made yesterday while playing with my new Rainbow set from Waffle Flower!
Before anyone asks about those stitched hearts: it's an Amy Tangerine ef - check ebay!
That's where I found mine! Called cross-stitched hearts or something like that!
Okay now let's go over to IB179 to see what/or how my teamies have melon-ized their DT cards - hope you join me, and are inspired to play along!
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm leaning toward that rainbow set from Waffle Flower more and more with all your awesome creations, Michele! This is fantastic with the rainbow smiles! Love the watermelon colored leaves too! You were well inspired this week, my friend!
Talk about "one in a melon", that's you and that fertile brain of yours. Both of these cards are beyond happy and fun. They kind of make me giddy.
Damn it girl!! I LOVE your cards. The first is pretty but I LOVE the second. You are so clever!!!
I love both takes on the inspiration photo!! They're both DELISH!
Your melon plant makes me smile and the rainbow turned upside down to make a watermelon is genius! So cute!
Love those plants and dots. Colorful and fun. And I see you saved one traditional rainbow card...
I love the way you were inspired... BOTH times! That smiling melon face is too cute and those embossed hearts ~ SWOON! Might have to visit ebay!
Very clever take on the inspiration with your melon plant! Two fabulous cards. Apologies for not visiting for the last several weeks - it's been a bit of a tough time. But I'm back and hope to be able to visit more frequently.
These melon inspired cards are fabulous, Michele. And yep, smiling here. So fun and delightful. Thanks for sharing.
I see coral in your melon fronds... love your interpretation of the challenge. And only you would turn that rainbow upside down and give it eyes... love you.
Wow Michele, I am so loving your take on the inspirational photo. The photo is making me hungry though. lol Love your take with the beautiful "frons" in the melon colors, those enamel dots in black are perfect imitation of the seeds. I love this card, especially the background paper. So cute!!! But then I keep reading and scrolling and come across a rainbow turned in to a watermelon! What?! What a fabulous idea and way to stretch those dies!!! Your rainbow set made the perfect watermelon! I love this one so much, just adorable. Hugs, Brenda
Using just the colors may be the way I'd have to go if I have something that will work, Michele. I love how you did your layered up melon colored leaves. And the upside down rainbow melon is fabulous!
I'm loving both of these melon-ized cards Michele!! The watermelon colors work beautifully on your die cut 1st card...so bright and cheerful!! And your upside down rainbow/watermelon card just couldn't be any CUTER...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
Such a creative idea to pick out just the 'colours' and those black 'pips' for your first fabulous card Michele. What a fun second one and so very cute x. One in a Melon for sure x.
These definitely made me smile. I particularly love the first one, those bold colours and lovely dotty background are fab xx
Love both of your amazing cards Michelle! Just gorgeous!
So you DID melon-ize something, Michele! I love your first card, just using the colors and polkie background but your melon rainbow is pretty fantastic too
Love your unique and wonderful take on the IB photo, Michele! And a rainbow die-cutout turned into a smiley watermelon!! Your are THE thinking-outside-the-box person!!
Hideko xx
