Another 'too beautiful to resist' Fusion challenge called my name … me, and butterflies? duh.
Simple math: one ancient Martha Stewart punch, plus my snippets bin = enough butterflies for a rainbow! My paneled door is made from dark brown wood grain paper from Altenew, and the sentiment is from Wplus9 Doodle Buds.
I recently had to take my cotton boll wreath off of my front door as the birds were picking them out for nest material - guess they were cotton pickin' birds!

My first laugh of the day, Michele. Not at your beautiful butterfly wreath but about your cotton pickin' birds.
ReplyDeleteBwahahahahaha! That's okay, like this wreath much better than the other cotton pickin' one.
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever, Michele! I love all those pretty butterflies, and that you used the colors of the rainbow to create them! Loving the Venise Lace die cut from your woodgrain panel, too! Beautiful card, my friend! Thanks so much for joining us at Fusion...We always enjoy seeing your beautiful creations in the gallery!
ReplyDeleteCotton pickin' birds? Too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL...it is nesting time for sure. Those birds are smart aren't they. YOur butterfly wreath is so pretty and colorful. Love that you used several sizes of butterflies. Adds a richness to the wreath.
ReplyDeleteOh my!! This is the CUTEST card!! I love the dotted frame on the background and that wreath is GENIUS!! You have some smart birds!! I had birds make a nest in my wreath one year and they did not like when I had to open the door!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this challenge graphic, I immediately thought of you!! This is simply delightful. That antique MS punch is still a winner isn't it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and colorful butterfly wreath, Michele. Right up your Alley, my friend. Love the black textures faux door background sentiment too. TFS Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteOh, those cotton pickin' birds!!! But seriously, you have the best dies...your wreath and door are amazing! Fun way to interpret the challenge for sure! AND a good way to use up those little scraps!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giggle this morning at your cotton picking birds joke. Love it! I also love your beautiful wreath! Oh my goodness, such lovely papers in a beautiful rainbow! Your butterflies are so pretty! I see you used that embossing folder for the door. Love your eye for design! Thank you so much for sharing and delighting!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet tiny butterflies that make a darling wreath! I love the pop of color against the dark "door". Sounds like some birds in your neighborhood have soft, cozy nests!
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to love, a rainbow of butterflies!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Michele, just beautiful! I love that dark brown wood grain paper, your butterflies just pop off the white circle and dark paper. I have that same old punch and of course a rainbow of butterflies. I will have to keep this in mind to use up some of my butterflies that I have stashed up. Also loving that rectangle of holes, so cool looking! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet wreath! Those butterflies are wonderful, especially the polka dot ones!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I love the rainbow of flutterbys you created : ) Your take on the sketch is superb!
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow color butterflies look so pretty against the dark brown woodgrain background, Michele! So clever to use the rectangular die to create a front door impression.
ReplyDeleteThe birds are sleeping on cloud nine. ;-P
