CAS[E] this Sketch #309

A very interesting Sketch this week at CAS[E] this Sketch #309 … Chrissy, I can hardly wait to see the card that inspired this Sketch!

I made three cards for you today... sometimes I have a try, try again day in my craft studio … this was one of those!  I ended up being pretty pleased with each try!  Let's start with the card that brought you by today...

Some really simple pencil coloring - and my attempt to add those
little squares from Chrissy's Sketch!

And THEN... a little chat with a friend about gingham brought these two to life!  Thanks, Bev!

Why not fill in those squares with fun sentiments?

This gingham was created on gray with my newest
Catherine Pooler ink: Over Coffee!

So that was a pretty fun day of stamping, right?  I can't wait to see what you will see within Chrissy's Sketch... now let's go see her card, shall we?

Thanks for the visit!!  xx

  2. You're taking that leaf canopy die out for a real work out and it looks like your mojo has gone into overdrive. (You remember overdrive, don't you?) Anyway each one of these cards is really a work of art and your coloring is to die for.

  3. Who would have thought one of our old favorite flowers would look so good in gray, Michele. And gingham is the perfect backdrop for any flowers. Or leaves.

  4. Oh my gosh, Michele, these are all such yummy fun cards. I have to say the first is my favorite. Love those blooms and the leaf clusters are super.

  5. I've almost pulled out the gingham papers and/or stamps twice this week. So happy to see yours up here! A trio of delights today! Your neutrally colored first card is lovely. You've gotten it just right in my book. And the gingham cards.... well, you know how I feel about gingham! And those amazing vines... I just got those and they are fabulous. Your cards are both wonderful darlin'. So glad I stopped by. xo Bev

  16. Yep, that was a pretty fun day of stamping, Michele ... you creating and us admiring and enjoying! Your colouring on the first is gorgeous ... so soft and delicate ... and how fun are those sentiments over the gingham ... I'm especially taken by the camouflaged one ... love a touch of camouflage! Hugs, Anita :)

  17. Michele, I admire your creativity. How can you come up with these wonderful ideas!? Do you eat something special for your brain? Oh, maybe the "tcheese" fries after the symphony did it. ;-D
Love the gray pencil colored flowers and leaves. The beautiful subtle shades of gray are like "sumie (Asian black ink painting)".
The color combos of the gingham background cards are pretty! Who would think of using sentiments for the squares in the sketch, and adding a hidden die-cut sentiment? Amazing!
