CAS Watercolour Challenge February 2019
Marcia is asking for Red & Pink for the CAS Watercolour February 2019 Challenge. I sure hope she'll accept shades of Red & Pink, because that's the best I could offer from my Zig collection! Specifically: Carmine & Light Pink! [okay, did anyone else just think of Laverne & Shirley?]
Here's the end result, using Altenew's Cherished Memories stamps, and dies:
Okay. I'll admit... it all looks pink to me! lol Well. It was fun to practice with my Zigs - those grey leaves were much easier!

Gosh! I just this minute posted my entry and here is yours. Incidentally, my card looks predominantly pink, even though I colored in red and pink, so hope it is accepted. Yours looks much more red.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful--love the gorgeous coloring! That set has such awesome sentiments and the simple flower design is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteStunning! just stunning!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Michele, and I can see the red.
ReplyDeleteThis is just BEAUTIFUL Michele and I used the Laverne and Shirley Zigs to color my 1st card for this challenge too! And I can definitely see the RED!! Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at CAS Watercolour!! :0)
ReplyDeleteLOL, I hadn't thought of Laverne and Shirley, Michele, but now the them song is ringing in my head. I looks like you have shades of pink and red to me! Love the contrast with the soft gray! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Watercolour!
ReplyDeleteOh...PRETTY!! I see a wee bit of red in there and lots of pretty pink. Carmine Ragusa would be proud ;)

Definitely singing the theme song here too lol! Love your beautiful design Michele, you certainly have been 'Altenew' busy!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning Michelle and the sentiments are so touching. Thanks for sharing at the CAS Watercolour Challenge:)
ReplyDeleteWow ... you are on a roll Michele! Gorgeous red and pink blooms. Yes, zig reds look more like pink, but we all know you used red and pink! The gray leaves look amazing with this CAS design. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx
ReplyDeleteYep, went right to Laverne and Shirley. Thanks for the theme song running through my head. Your card is gorgeous. You did an outstanding job with your Zigs. Love the gray leaves. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI think you did an amazing job with this color palette, Michele! Absolutely GORGEOUS watercoloring with your Zigs...and those fabulous gray leaves...Be still, my heart...they're perfect!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, Laverne & Shirley...such a great memory :)
All the heart eyes on these...!!!
ReplyDeleteI think Zig reds are hard to do, especially with water, Michele. But it doesn't matter because what you did is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSimply brilliant red and pink stamped and die cut flowers, Michele. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteAh, the Big Ragu! Thanks for the memory! Those flowers are gorgeous, and I definitely see the Carmine Red in there!
ReplyDeleteOh that Carmine! Such a fun show! But the Carmine on your card is way more glam than The Big Ragu! Gorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteAnother stunner! Jo x
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes, I think think of Laverne and Shirley! No nice reds in the 48 set of Zigs, but I did get a few nice reds on Amazon to add to my collection a while back. Your flowers look great with the carmine and light pink-as close to red as you are going to get with your set and I love it! Looking red and pink enough to me! You work well with those Zigs my friend. I need a lesson on them as I don't do as good-but still enjoy them anyway. lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI mean, honestly, why is there no red in the Ziggies?! But no worries, M, your beautiful shades of red and pink look stunning on this heartfelt sympathy card! Hugs, Darnell CAS WCCC GD
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous, Michele! Your coloring of the leaves is amazing! The textured front panel and the light gray card base highlight the red & pink blooms.
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
p.s. I admit that I had to google "Laverne & Shirley". :-)
Those bold pink and red blooms are wonderfully set off by the soft grey leaves, Michele ... another beauty! Hugs, Anita :)
