I am in the midst of packing for a 12 day adventure that we had planned for April. So I'm going to cut right to my cards - grab a beverage and let's get this party started!
First up - an homage to my darling father-in-law who we sadly lost in April ... Tom asked for his fishing hat - so glad he got it, as his own had seen better days! For Dad, and Tom...
A few of you may know that Tom and I are fishermen ...
we adore the little dragonflies who hitch a ride!

I even baked him a cake shaped like his hat - seriously!

Next up - a fun card for the grandkids to give to Gramps for his birthday - his last for the forties!
Not one bit planned - it was a total surprise after die-cutting my letters... what a perfect kid-style, right?
Tom does so much for me, for us, and never does get the thanks he deserves ...
Of course those thanks swing both ways -
hinged letters are perfect!
How about a little Grad-venture?
"Let the adventures begin!"
Don't adjust your screen! that's a shaker, and a window -
words are on the inside - clearly, with a bit more grad-vice!
And lastly... let's celebrate those guys in our lives with words ...
It's been a blast making cards for my guys ... hope the team had fun ... I'm running to visit each and every one of them!

These cards are all equally fabulous. Your team is sure to have lots of creative fun with the goodies you've sent them. I took a peek at the cake you made. Wow! Fantastic. So happy your hubby got the fishing hat. My dad had a few hats that a couple of my brothers got. One was a hiking hat complete with a huge "diaper" pin on it! LOL Thanks for the smiles! :) Hugs

ReplyDeleteHey Michele these are over the top great! I LOVE your fishing hat card AND cake! did you really go to Cullinery School!? wowie!! And I did not know that you and your hubbers are fishermen! My husband and I are too!! I actually LOVE fishing!! sadly we have not gotten to go as often as we did when we lived in WI but nonetheless we dearly love being on the water together.

My goodness, Michele...you make masculine cards look easy and we all know how difficult they are to create! This is such a fabulous collection of cards, and I can't even pick a fave...honestly! Thanks so much for all the eye candy and for the link to your cake...it looks amazing, and I'll bet it was totally delicious!!!

Oh my gosh! Wonderful card and an amazing kit! Thank you so much! You blew me away with the hat.. I love the little dragonflies too.... they're always in my yard.. like butterflies... I cant get over that birds eye view of the hat.. that is until I saw the "shut the front door" grad card. I think your THANKS card with my trixie is amazing. You photographed it perfectly so you can see the letters are open! Enjoy your trip lady! You deserve it!
