Color Hues #91

Hey you guys!!  Have you had a good week?  It's been a true 'head down-tail up' week of Christmas card making for me this week!  Today, I spent WAY too much time working with this darling set called Over the Rooftops from Concord & 9th today ... 4 hours to be exact! OY!  But I was determined to make it mine!

What better time to give it a first run using lots of Greens and Reds for Color Hues #91?  BTW - even the snowy sky is Eucalyptus green in case you're wondering if I've gone off the rails!

Most of the cardstock comes from Concord & 9th's sampler pack - with
the exception of that eucalyptus which is a Stampin' Up paper.

I'm telling you the car was the FIRST item to be cut - I have such wonderful
memories of my dad and his Ford Country Estate wagon!  We kids knew if
he said get your pillows and blankets we were hitting the road!

I thank you for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!

  2. How cute!!!! We didn't have one of those wagons (only 4 of us) but my uncle did and we PACKED the peeps in it to go see Grandma a time or two. Your card is adorable and definitely red & green.

  3. I ordered this set when it was on sale a few months ago, and it's still in the NBUS box. Your fabulous card is full of inspiration, but I haven't yet gotten into creating Christmas cards. I love all the details in this scene, the layers, and the fact that you created it with just reds, greens, and neutrals! As always, thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues! (I know I'll be back to look at this again once I pull my set out!)

  8. You are definitely getting into the detail these days. I can see why this set has eaten up your time. Well worth it though as you have put it together perfectly. I like the grey green sky. That's what it looks like when it is heavy with snow. The whole thing is perfect xx

  14. So much to say about your post and card! Your scene is a true delight and I love how you used neutrals to round out your colours! Such a festive scene! I bought this set too and have not used it yet, but I did pull it out and put it on my desk last week...this might be the inspiration I need. I'm worried about the tiny oieces. Thank you so much my friend for sharing with us at the Color Hues!
