Second Helpings for Color Hues #76 and JUGS #706

Before our Thanksgiving dinner is on the table, I have a bit of second helpings for my friends at Color Hues #76!  These Wplus9 cards just keep coming - hope you don't mind?

This go around, I have used a beautiful bird from Wplus9 with a
Poinsettia from Altenew!
Since the challenge is to use Red and metallic gold, I stamped the background in Delicata Gold ink, and also heat-embossed my sentiment in gold.  The bird and Poinsettia were stamped with a mix of Distress Oxide inks:
Barn Door, Candied Apple with a bit of Vintage Photo for good measure.

The next cards are just for fun...

My next bright a beautiful Altenew Cardinal has to visit

Of course, my card is inspired by that Cardinal in their lovely mood board!
I've used another Wplus9 stamp for the leafy branch, and wonderful
embossing folder from Spellbinder: Tile Reflection.

I had a real scare yesterday when I was totally knocked out by a nasty 24 bug!  I'm feeling much better today - well enough to get a 19lb turkey ready for my guests tomorrow!  PHEW!

I'm always so thankful for the kindness and support you all give me - it keeps me crafting and ready for the next challenge - speaking of, I'd better get these cards delivered!

Happy Thanksgiving, to you and yours!

  18. I just love the "blotchy" effect you achieved with the flowers and birds, Michele. Such a lovely look. Looks so good with the crisp embossed sentiment. All of your cards are lovely. 19. I sure don't mind! These cards are gorgeous! It's amazing what you can do in a short time. I should have shared my red and gold in the Color Hues challenge, but wasn't thinking, oops. I gather you feel better now since you said it was a 24 hr bug, but I'm sorry it got you. I had 3 vaccines -- flu, Covid, RSV -- the day before Thanksgiving and I had such a reaction that I got up Thanksgiving morning, then went back to bed. Got up again at 2:30 and started cooking in time for our son to arrive from out of town. I was a mess, but was all better by Friday.
