Double D Lemon-y yellow goodness!

Goodness the mood board, or photo inspiration from Double D Color Yellow challenge just stole my heart today!  I had lots of pretty greens and yellows out on my desk for another project - why not use them again?

My eyes were drawn to the bottom left photo today - but OH is that gingham calling my name, too!  Maybe I'm setting myself up for second helpings? hmmm...

Armed with a few yellow, and green distress inks and a
tiny little brush I painted this pretty HoneyBee bouquet [more on this soon!] that had been white heat-embossed on watercolor cardstock.

An old favorite wonky stitched rectangle die finished the edge before mounting it on my card front, I wrapped a sentiment from this set stamped and also white heat-embossed on vellum.

I am very happy looking at all this color of summer!
Thanks for stopping by!

  2. The colors are lovely with the daisies! If I machine sewed my stitching would be wonky too! I've never used the wonky word die that is with my set of rectangles, have you?

  8. Ohhh, I've looked at this set a few times recently and am absolutely delighted to see you bring it to life in this fantastic sunshiny yellow! You did such a beautiful job with the coloring. 9. This is so soft and pretty, I love it. I spent yesterday afternoon colouring 3 cards. One with coloured pencils and 2 with watercolour onto a heat embossed image. Mine look very different of course, but it seems strange to have recently been doing the same thing as you. I must say, I found it a very therapeutic process. It calms me down. I hope it has that effect on you too xx
