The Flower Challenge #79 - Focus on background stamping!

Hello my friends!  April is here and we want to give you plenty of space to share all the lovely florals in your stash!  For Challenge #79 at The Flower Challenge, we're asking you to put your focus on Background Stamping!

I have tons of wonderful background stamps in my stash - but today I decided to create my own background using some of those teensy little stamps that can be found in nearly every Altenew set I own!  Enter: Peony Bouquet!

I chose to use only a few of the layers for the leaves and buds in some bright colors.

A little slip of vellum calmed those bright colors down a bit - add one big Peony, a two-layered frame, a little sentiment, and my card was done!

You'll find even more inspiration from my teamies over at The Flower Challenge - see you there!  We have the fabulous Ishani joining us this month!  Welcome, my friend!

  3. I have just been feasting my eyes on all the brilliant inspiration that I have missed over recent days and am now settling here for my comment. I love how you have created that background and used colour on this one. Covering the background with the vellum has successfully enhanced the finished look. It is perfect xx

  12. Here I go again.....WOW!!!!! You know Michele, I have this stamp set, it was love at first sight but now I know why I've only used it once or twice. You intimate me to use the dang thing because I'd never get beautiful results like this! I'm blown away by this card, it is so stunning. Your background, the colors, the frames the whole flower, the whole card.....just WOW! I so love this one too my friend, so love it!!! Might try and case it but I know there is no way I could ever do it justice. Hugs, Brenda

  14. What a lovely design, using the vellum "veil", Michele! Using the same color combo as the die-cut peony for the buds and leaves behind the vellum gives the card a sense of unity. And I love that you made the frame two-layered!
