Altenew January 2023 Inspiration Challenge

A funny thing happened on the way to making a DT card - it fit quite well for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge - January 2023!  LOve when that happens - and since I'd made TWO versions, I still have another for my team!

They are already thinking Spring!  So, I used a brand-new-to-me Build-a-Garden: Magnificent Branch stamp from the bundle and found a cute little circle to stamp one of its sentiments on to.  It was stamped in Versafine Tuxedo Black ink and water-colored using Altenew's 36 pan set - purple wine, puff heart, bamboo, and forest glades to be exact - leaving a bit of highlight here and there.  Since this stamp covers a LOT of real estate even the back of my card is painted - you'll see it soon!

  2. Great use of white space in your colouring. It really works to add texture and dimension. Whenever I try I just find the colours fills the space and it is too late! Great colour too xx

  19. It IS a magnificent branch with your beautiful loose-watercoloring, Michele! Leaving highlights unpainted is one of the most difficult things for me in watercoloring. ;-)
Love the unique way of adding the sentiment to the card! Looking forward to seeing the back of the card and your DT card.

  20. Gorgeous! Your watercoloring looks so very natural - unlike mine which looks forced - probably why I don't do it very often! Sorry it's taken me so long to visit!
