The Flower Challenge - # 56 Favorite Flower Reminder!

Just a little reminder that you still have lots of time to share your favorite flower with us at The Flower Challenge #56!

Here's another of my favorites,  which I was reminded of while playing cards with a friend yesterday - a flower that causes us to remember those we've lost: Poppies!

Another set borrowed from my friend - a beauty from Penny Black.
I simply stamped it onto water color card, and added lots of doodling with a Copic fine liner pen.

It's quite alright to have more than one favorite flower - and to play along more than once!  Be sure to follow the rules given at The Flower Challenge blog, of course.  Hope to see you there!

  4. Your doodling really brings out the detail in the flowers, Michele. Is that your sentiment? If not where did it come from?

  5. Oh I love that soft stamping, a lovely contrast to the clear crisp stamping of our poppy yesterday. What a brilliant idea to use a fineliner to add the detail. I also love how your red and green have blended in a few spots beautiful xx

  11. Oh the good Lord gave us so many flowers to admire, I'm so happy I don't have to pick just one as a favorite. These poppies are among my favorites. And that sentiment. You sure know how to choose a wonderful sentiment. Thanks for sharing.

  13. Hellooooooooooo! I have been swamped with all kinds of things and I'm so happy to have a little time to visit. I love poppies as well, and yes, they always put me in mind of those we've lost. And the Wizard of Oz. If I had the time, I could enter this one many, many times. My very fave is freesia. And oh, I do have a freesia stamp. Maybe I can squeeze in a little time to make something with it. Your stamped and doodled image is gorgeous. I love the blotchy effect of the the ink on the watercolor paper.
