Inspired By #176 - love the way you lilac

I cannot be the only girl in the world who would love an armful of lilacs? Throw in a bunch of peonies, and imagine the aroma!!

Now imagine that you just happen to have the perfect set of stamps for that!!  So perfect, that I have two cards for you today!!

Enter a very old, discontinued set - PTI's Botanical Blocks II - first up: Lilacs!

I've done a little 'bokeh' background, and found a place for the adding
a bit of that violet pink - see if you can find it on the unopened buds.

Here are the Copics I've used for my Lilacs:

Ready for the Peony?

... and their Copics:

No, you are not required to make two cards in order to play along... but we wouldn't be mad about it - wink!  I can't wait to see what my IB teammates have created -
join me, won't you?  Right here at IB176.

  1. Two gorgeous cards, Michele! I love lilacs too and wish they would grow here like they do north of us. Yours are gorgeous with their violet and purple hues! Love how you've done the background too! The peony is just as luscious! What beautiful shades of pink. Both are mounted like the works of art they are!

  2. The lilacs are just starting to bloom here and my peonies are just baby buds. They are two of my favorite flowers because when they arrive it means winter is over for sure! Your cards are gorgeous! I love bokeh dots.....and so fun to say! I know I just entertain myself ....

  3. Oooh lala, I love both of these! I can see that wee bit of pink on your first card and it's a pinkalicious plethora of pink on the second! Beautiful!

  4. When you come to visit, make it the early Spring (probably still freezing in Michigan). Then you could see my pink lilac and my neighbors lilac that leans over our common fence...that makes it mine, too, doesn't it. The point is, they're almost as beautiful at that time as your two cards.

  6. Oh what GORGEOUS cards. Your Lilac coloring is PERFECTION. It is one of my FAVORITE flowers and I bought two tiny bushes this year to try and grow in my yard. I have a black thumb so they probably will never bloom!!!

  10. Not one, but two gorgeous cards, Michele! Glorious! I've been in heaven on my morning walks as I pass several blooming lilac bushes. Oh I stop and sniff every one of them! Then I come home and sniff the one in my backyard. Heaven scent! There are a few peonies on my route, too. They aren't open quite yet. I am looking forward to the dinner plate hibiscus flowers! :) Thanks for sharing these stunning beauties, my friend.

  12. Lilacs are one of my favourite flowers, it is just such a shame that they don't last longer and the trees are not very attractive when there are no flowers. When I am on my morning walk I stop to smell them and enjoy I appreciate them. I love how you have done the background on these cards, they are both really very pretty xx

  19. I miss lilacs. They don't grow down here but I have fond memories of the yards in my IL hometown that had the best bushes. Beautiful cards.
