CAS[E] this Sketch #404

I'm sure you've heard the sad news?  My heart is aching.  But as we near the close of CAS[e] this Sketch, I decided I could really stretch the boundaries a bit ... like I didn't always??  LOL  Here is 'Two Ls' wonderful Sketch:

First, I flipped, next I embossed, then I blended that new Altenew Tranquility Rose layering stencil again!  Here are the results of my shenanigans...

The inks I've used:

Last of all a little closeup of those lovely layers:

Can you believe this was created with stencils? I'm so happy Altenew has released a few of these gorgeous 3D embossing folders - this one is called Angled Mosaic!  You'll be seeing it a LOT!

For all of you that have been faithful players, and constant support for Cas[e] this Sketch, how about playing along with us as we say goodbye?  You know we'll be so grateful!  Let's go find more inspiration, shall we?  CTS404

  2. Have to say I was shocked to see this challenge closing. It's always been a mainstay and, if I was any good following sketches, I would have played more frequently. Your stenciled card is amazing...you can get so much lovely detail from these stencils and the colors your chose are simply delicious. Of course, it pops out from that deeply textured embossing beautifully.

  3. So sad to hear CTS is closing too - it's been a mainstay of our crafting community forever! But it's ending for the best of reasons and I agree, let's give the challenge a great send off!
Love that you are continuing to do your own thing with the sketch Michele and love your card. What a great EF that is! I don't think I'll mind seeing a lot of that! A pretty rose too! I'm amazed at the new releases of layering stencils coming out and the gorgeous results you get with them :) Vicky x

  4. I shall definitely miss seeing your contributions to this challenge. It is always a little sad when things change. This is a stunning card, that embossing folder is just amazing. 3d embossing folders are pretty special. I always struggle with layering stamps and reckon that layering stencils may work better for me, they certainly work well for you. love those colours too xx

  15. It really is sad that CTS is closing...it's been a fun challenge and you have really been an inspiration to all, Michele!
LOVE this gorgeous card! My favorite late uncle scoured the nurseries in search of the 'perfect peach rose', and I think even he would be impressed with this beauty! I also love that you chose brown for the leaves...such a lovely match! Placing it on the embossed angled mosaic pattern was genius, my friend...You have really outdone yourself! xx

  19. I just learned of this sad news this morning Michele. I didn't play along but once or twice, but I loved seeing everyone's take on the sketches and I saved the sketches. You would be a great one to continue this challenge my friend. lol Just a thought?! As usual I love your take on this fabulous sketch. That rose is gorgeous! I just found out not that long ago that they are making stencils like this! OMGosh-I so want to try one! lol Loving that embossing folder too and now you tell me that Altnew is making them as well?! I think I need a part time job just so I can buy some supplies that I don't need! lol Love your card my friend, it is just stunning! Hugs, Brenda

  22. I pushed myself to work out what to do with this week's sketch as I felt like I should make an extra effort to catch the last few challenges - I will so miss CAS(E) This Sketch! I love your card this week Michele - the background embossing folder is AMAZING (and I'm generally not big on EFs!) Love the non-traditional flower colours too. This is one beautiful floral - I'm amazed it's a stencil too!
