The Library Challenge #37 Five days in a Balloon

five weeks in a balloon book - Google Search

Five days in a Balloon, I've learned, is the first published novel by Jules Verne - I enjoyed his fantastic imagination in a few later ones which were made into movies that I loved as a child... Journey to the Center of the Earth, among them.

I've never had a hot air balloon ride.  It's something I've always dreamed of.

This little guy had the same
dream...

MFT - Stitched Speech Bubbles - retired

I just knew I had a stamp with a balloon - so happy I found it, and had the chance to play along with The Library Challenge #37!

  6. Terrific card, Michele. I love the look of the balloons floating in air, but am not so sure I would really like to be inside one for an hour let alone 5 weeks! Your coloring here, looks wonderful.

  7. Yay! You found a stamp! So cute. I arranged for a hot balloon ride about 20 years ago as a birthday gift for my husband. He was so surprised....probably his favorite gift over the years. He was in the 82nd Airborne a gazillion decades ago so he wasn't apprehensive AT ALL but I was SCARED to death. I survived and it was awesome!

  11. I don't think I've ever ready anything by Jules Verne, but I did love Journey to the Center of the Earth when I was young. lol I've always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon too, but am afraid of heights, so.....not going to happen. lol They have ride in Lancaster I think, but I would be sitting on the floor of the basket. lol Your little guy in this balloon is so dang cute! I love how you have colored your balloon-glad you found it too, and I love your little fella there. He looks right at home in his balloon. Love the speech bubble and how you used it as a clouds. Perfect. Hugs, Brenda
