CAS[E] this Sketch #288

Ms. Donna has created a very interesting Sketch #288... check it out:

I was in need of a 'get well' card this week … it was easy to incorporate Donna's Sketch, and a few patterned papers from my enormous stash!

That patterned paper was just too pretty to cover up, so I used a bit of vellum for my card.  Take a closer look:

Is it just a coincidence that these papers remind of a my favorite Kleenex boxes?  What better for a friend with the sniffles?

Looking forward to seeing your take on our Sketch this week!

  5. I have those papers too. I forget about all the treasures hiding away in drawers. Love your sweet gray-haired doctor! The vellum frames her perfectly!

  6. Michele, now you mentioned "Kleenex boxes", I can't help seeing the sentiment on the patterned paper as "Kleenex" (in a similar cursive font)! :-P
Great use of the vellum paper. I love that you matched the color of Medical Lady's gown with the patterned paper. Hideko xx

  9. This is awesome, Michele. Aren't tissue boxes so pretty nowadays? I really like the paper you chose for this card. Your nurse is lovely, too. Great hair! The vellum is an excellent choice. You are so thoughtful to create a card to help someone feel better, too. I'm sure your friend will really appreciate it, and you! :) Hugs!

  10. I thought I recognized that paper. I have some in a set called 'Hodge Podge' where they included that with 5 other PTI designs. It looks great as a tissue box or as the doctor's smock.

  12. What a great and fabulous card Michele! I love your take on that sketch too. That paper is so pretty, but that vellum-well that just caught my eye and drew it right in! Your medical lady-yes I see a lady, lol, is amazing. Yep, that paper does indeed remind one of a tissue box-perfect for a get well card! Hugs, Brenda
