Inspired By ... #22 - industrial charm

Note:  the word trial in industrial?  lol  it totally was a trial, but a really fun one!

I've never been very good with mixed media design - but felt this was the perfect time to give it a spin... I've been Inspired By the terra cotta color, raindrops, and umbrella … even the metal of the rack has been used... see if you can find these elements in my industrial card!

Confused?  yeah, me too!  lol  okay... it's raining INSIDE the terrarium … industrial strength drops?  and the sun is shining under the umbrella - but cannot get to my plants?

well.  I give up - turns out it doesn't have one bit of mixed media style!!!  lol

I do hope you find something to like about it!!!   Take my advice... be yourself - you'll create something more charming for our Inspired By #22 gallery, I'm sure of it!

My 'terrarium' is a Winnie & Walter Flawless Diamond die.
MFT raindrops - a stencil from my friend Barb xx - silver embossing paste, for the industrial rain
Flora & Fauna dies for the foliage, and terrarium stand
Snippets for my table
Basic Grey Barista patterned paper for the umbrella

  1. Great job on this card. I think it shows your fabulous creativity! The raindrops can be the moisture that collects in a terrarium. and the umbrella can house the heat lamp that helps create the humidity and condensation. You were totally yourself on this card!! :) Hugs!

  2. I admit that this one was a bit of a challenge, but I love what you did with it...it's like a little piece of art, and a fun one at that! That "terrarium" is amazing! And I need to get an umbrella stamp or die or something...I have nary a one!

  7. Cool and quirky, Michele ... I love the unexpected sunshine cascading down from the brolly ... now wouldn't that be fun every time we opened one up to shelter from the rain! Hugs, Anita :)

  8. That was really thinking outside-the-terrarium, Michele, and I have actually seen some that look like this except in gold.

  10. You used a diamond die upside down for your terrarium! This alone wows me, Michele! Shining under the umbrella and raining inside the terrarium - now it's like Picasso abstract artwork world. ;-P Hideko xx
