25 Tags of Christmas Day 5

We're sharing the stage with another wonderful sponsor today:  Altenew!  You may already know how much I [buy from] love that company!  =]

I'm so happy that I was able to snag a stamp and die from their 2017 Christmas release: Poinsettia & Pine bundle - I even think I got it on sale - score!  Convenient that the set comes complete with a "to and from" element!

I've also been totally taken by the colored pencil on dark cardstock technique that the fabulous Yana Smakula has introduced me to... follow her link to see it for yourself!

Here is my take on that technique: tag style!

A simple tag die was 'stretched' by partial die-cutting first, then moving the die.
Stamped and heat embossed in gold, I kept the coloring very simple, using two shades of dark red Prismacolor pencils.

I'll be by to check out all the tagged gorgeousness in our 25 Tags of Christmas linky post ... be sure to follow directions to the letter, and I'll see you in the gallery!
