Playing Cards with Barb Ghig!

I am so happy to be playing cards with my friend, and such a talented card designer, Barb Ghigliotty of Barb's Studio Creations again!  This time it happened because we were both blown away by a most talented 'friend' of ours around the world:  Therese Calvird of Lost in Paper!

Barb and I unknowingly play 'follow the leader' with our comments on Therese's fabulous YouTube videos.  Therese has done brilliant things with Altenew floral layering stamps.  Here is the card that Barb and I have chosen to CASE today:

Forever Fabulous copy

Bobby was happy to bring along her Altenew stash last week so I could have a play with their layering stamps.  I had a blast with the Beautiful Day flowers - are fantastic!  [they might just have to come live with me! or maybe I'll go live with Bobby!!!]

So, Barb, here you go!  I totally forgot the sentiment, duh, but I'll remember it before it goes into the mail, my friend!

Lucky ME to have that lovely embossing folder - wait.  You're not surprised?

So.  a question for you...
CASE = copy and steal, or share, everything?
I even felt guilty putting my watermark on it!!!

LOVED this 'virtual' play day with you, Barb and Therese!!  Let's do it again real soon!  xx

  2. Oh my friend, your card is brilliant and it definitely has your own mark on it everywhere, that Beautiful Day flower makes me so happy! I remember when I was making this card thinking, 'now what would Michele do with this embossing folder' because as we all know you are the Queen and I bow to you xx ps I think I even linked over to your blog for embossing folder ideas so maybe I should have credited you!

  3. Glad I could accommodate. Now wait until you see my new peony bouquet set from Altenew. Absolutley scrumptious. We could play cards you know. We didn't make and post CASEd cards when we were together.

  4. Oh, Michele...You have done such a BEAUTIFUL job CASEing Therese! No surprise here :) I love how you colored the bloom, and the leaves and sprigs are so elegant! Loving all the texture you achieved with your embossing folder, too! And, you got to play with the 'Beautiful Day' set...I'm so jealous!
It was great fun chatting, and getting to play cards with you again! Let's play again sometime!!!

  5. Fabulous Michele, and I am not surprised you have that folder. I have lots of travel coming up, but I really want to play with you. August is looking to be a good time right now. So, I hope you'll have time then too!

  6. This is gorgeous, Michele!
I'm lucky enough to have gotten that set for free... my local stamping friend had ordered it and there was something wrong with one of the leaf stamps, so they mailed her out a whole new set. Then, she gave her original set to me -- very sweet! She lend me the Wild Hibiscus set to play with this week... it's very nice to have friends who are willing to share their stamps!

  18. Your card doesn't NEED a sentiment, Michele - it's gorgeous just the way it is! I'm having my own love affair with Altenew flower layering sets and Beautiful Day is a recent purchase that just arrived, so I was pleasantly pleased to see this post! Your peachy-pink flower is super - one of my favourite colour flowers in my garden (peonies & roses). Now I'm off to check out Barb's (The Enabler) creation :-) I see she's now "teasing" you with Altenew's Peony Bouquet set.

  19. How fun that you and Barb had a play date, and oh, what a delight you've created for us! The embossed background (I have that folder plus its companion, still NBUS...yeesh! is the perfect canvas for your pretty coral bloom. Is that watercolour I see or ink? Whatever the case: stellar! Love this!

  22. Oh, how I love it! I can't tell you how many times I want to CASE just the way you've defined it. I did pretty much that with a card of Laurie Willison's not long ago and had the same guilty feelings...but I loved the card so much I CASEd it again (twice). This is gorgeous, so no matter how it was inspired, I'm so glad you shared!
