Time Out Challenge #22

Say Hello: Perk up your home with a friendly welcome sign. For an added boost, choose a bright, funky color. Source: Instagram user decorame

Well, hello, gorgeous!
I Love a great photo inspiration, but often get caught up in them a bit too literally...
after a few for the recycle bin, I've come up with this one, for Time Out...the fab Chrissie, of Less is More, is guesting this challenge! Wow, is her card brilliant!

I very much wanted that lovely couch represented, thus I used Primitive White cardstock from My Favorite Things as my base, die cut and reassembled with the SSS stitched dies; and all a-flutter with butterflies cut with a Martha Stewart punch [must think summer - it is 0 degrees here!]to represent the pillows.

Oh look!  I'm still quoting song lyrics!
Thanks for stopping by... hope you leave a note ... they do make me smile =]

  1. Nailed it! Love this take on the sketch! Girl you sure know how to think off the couch...sorry.... Love those little butterflies, and we sure need some reminders of sunny summery days, don't we?! You've inspired me with this beauty, and I think I might just have to play along and see if we can be neighbors in the gallery! Have a good one dear sweet friend. Bev

  2. YOUR card is brilliant, Michele! As in WOW-brilliant! I second Bev: you've nailed this photo, translating its images into your Michele-esque amazing style! The nod to the couch, panel and pillows, with the stitched sections, the tag and the swoon-inducing butterflies: stellar! I'm in awe, my sweet friend. In AWE, I tell you...

  6. You'd fit right in at my house quoting song lyrics, but it is an ongoing joke that I'm very happy always singing the wrong lyrics! Love, love, love the movement the butterflies create on this card. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out!
