Second helpings of Friends

As I get a tiny bit closer to the end of my life, I appreciate, even more, the concept of old friends, and new. The old Girl Scout song says one is silver, the other is gold.

There is also a new stamp set out there with a sentiment about friendship.  To paraphrase, it speaks of taking a long time to grow an old friend... love the thought and the set, but I don't always agree with the sentiment.

I have friends in this fabulous community who I've only known briefly, who visit me, and I visit them almost daily... you are all golden to me.

This card, while made for the CASology Week 130 challenge, is for each and every one of you, my darling family of new friends:

The final verse of the song:

Across the land Across the sea Friends forever
We will always be.

  11. Elegant indeed Michele! Beautiful white space. Love that you have paired this up with a song and the across in the song is a wonderful association/compliment with the crossed stalks :)

  13. These didn't come up in my email so I've been going back and forth in my blogger list to see what came first - the negative or positive. I would say positively (just a little pun there) that I can't believe you glued on all those little hearts. But I know the secret. And it comes in the shape of card number two. You are so clever my dear, and I love both of them equally.
