Less is More - Week 205

"Less is More"

Another of my favorite challenges... this year, I'm going to try very hard to play here more often... there- I've challenged myself!!

So to start the New Year right, I made a little card using another bird - let's face it: I have snow, and birds to look at these days!  Even the birds are hiding from the snow:

I received a few really wonderful little card-making goodies tucked in a Christmas card this year.  I promise to use each and every one... for today, a little Purple Onion from that cute little Judy Marino:

Black, silver embossed, very fancy tail-feathers + Red
Is it CAS enough? Hmmmm.
Thanks, Judy - I'll get to those cups!!!

  3. The cardinal is jealous of the cute bird on the card. He's inside where it's warm. :-) Did you add the heart for wings or is that part of the stamp? Either way I love the coloring and polka dots.

  11. What a super card and a fab image. The bird in the photo looks so striking against the snow. No snow here at the moment just another Atlantic 'weather bomb' and hurricane force winds. :)

  15. What a vibrant, fabulous bird in the snow...it looks like it lost its way on the way back to the tropics! What type of bird is it?? How wonderful getting crafting goodies in the mail, always exciting. I love the sketchiness of this card and the black/white with the pop of red. Its perfect for the challenge I think!

  17. I'm sorry this is such a tardy visit Michelle.
This is absolutely stunning. I love the pic of the cardinal too, I loved seeing them in our yard when we lived in Va many years ago!
    Thanks so much
