I was so honored to have my card win over at Time Out - what's a girl to do but to play again to say thank you!? Here is the lovely photo from team member Ishani...
Aren't they gorgeous? I couldn't resist the bright 'curry' color of Ishani's
cousin's dress to her left.
The closer I got to the photo, the easier it was to find some things from my stash that
might work! First some curry cardstock from The Stamp Market was embossed
with that SU! Subtle Texture to give it a 'look' of fabric then I found this gorgeous
panel cut with PFS Geo Star layer 1 and embossed with Layer 2.
Some matte gold foil flourishes were made using a die from The Greetery's
Rosemal Reflections Details dies. A sheer ribbon was wrapped around the panel, topped with a gold heat-embossed sentiment - also PFS - and sequins topped with gold pearls
finished my card! Looking back, this curry isn't near as bright - I'll blame
my gloomy Winter Day!
How did I do? No, it's nowhere near as lovely as her dress but I
don't think anything made with paper could be!
Thanks for the inspiration to play, Ishani, and for sharing your photo!

How beautiful! Both the ladies and your card honoring them!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful take on our inspiration photo at Time Out. You really took this challenge and ran with it! Your card is beautiful. Love your choice of the curry cardstock that looks so fabulous topped with all of that wonderful die cut white and the gold details. Fabulous take, Michele. ReplyDeleteI always see things that I've never seen before or haven't seen the same way you see them when I visit here! It looks like another winner here, my friend!
ReplyDeleteWow! The details, Girl! You sure know how to pull out beautiful things and make a card with it -- yes, the color is stunning, as is the textures given and beautiful colors

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous take on the inspiration photo! I'm staring at the photo and you certainly have an eye for picking out details. Congrats on your past win and could this be a repeat? Let's all tune in.....
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the PFS Geo Star die either, but it's absolutely gorgeous over the curry cs Michele, and the touches of gold and the sheer ribbon make this an over the top BEAUTIFUL card my friend...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful photo to use as inspiration for your equally beautiful card. Love the richness of the gold. I've been away in CA visiting our son and his family so I'm scrolling through your blog to see what I've missed. Lots of wonderful inspiration and another sweet look at that darling little bird from Memory Box. You pushed me over the edge with your last card using it, so one came to nest in my craft room. Now I just need to find the time to use it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous geometric design Michele, isn't Ishani divine! ...and oh my, those dresses WOW!
ReplyDeleteA perfect take on the photo Michele! A stunning card! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat's a die I've never seen before and it looks wonderful both cut and embossed, Michele. It made a great overlay for the subtle curry (see what I did there? lol) and all those gold accents stepped it up a notch or two. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Time Out.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful this is using those wonderful supplies from your stash! I'd say you did quite good, Michele! Congratulations on your win at Time out!
