Just me! but this is a bittersweet post for The Flower Challenge as we've come to the end of our wonderful challenge.
I'd like to thank Aileen for creating this wonderful challenge, her wonderful sidekick Vivien for keeping us all making - and on time! And most of all, thank you Karren for keeping The Flower Challenge alive for the last few wonderful years.
I am so honored to have been part of this sensational, talented team of card makers. I've loved making floral cards for this challenge over the years! If you feel like a walk down memory lane, just add The Flower Challenge to my search box! I have a few favorites - if you do, please let me know in the comments! Karren will also be leaving our blog open for your floral inspiration for years to come!
For my last TFC card - I've used an oldie-but-goody Poinsettia from
Altenew and a few more die-cut fillers from HoneyBee - and even a few pearls!!
I just love all these neutrals - including that background paper
you can see through my Spellbinders Stylish Oval window!
Come on, you had to know there would be a bit of grey, right?
Thanks so much for all the love and gorgeous cards you've sent to us over the years, my friends. You know I'll keep using florals in my designs and I'll be watching for yours, too. BTW you have a few more weeks to add some of your own if you'd like to right HERE before we close the doors on January 4, 2026! Now let's go see what this wonderful team has to share, shall we?

Your neutrals are so peaceful and serene, Michele! I often go back to view your gorgeous floral cards. You have been, and continue to be such an inspiration and enabler! I will miss the challenge but I know we will still be creating those floral cards.
ReplyDeleteI love that your beautiful finale card was made with your favorite gray! The fillers and pearls with the textured background were the perfect companions for the wonderful poinsettias!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very vintage feel this card gives using the grays. So awesome!
ReplyDeleteTotally perfect, and yes, there had to be grey, Jo x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card in the neutrals. I too like the soft brown color behind the pretty poinsettias. Thanks for all the inspiration from your lovely florals which I do like to peruse.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to you, Michele, to showcase how stunning a Christmas poinsettia can look with all these neutral colors. Absolutely gorgeous! It's been a fun ride, being your teammate and I appreciate all the inspiration you've provided. Have a Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteAll of your cards are always beautiful Michele, but I think this one might head to the top of my list! It is absolutely GORGEOUS and I just love it all done in neutrals! The little touch with the pearls too brings it up another notch! Lovely, lovely card my friend and what a way to go out with this AWESOME card...you made this last post SHINE!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful and so very YOU, Michele! Thanks for all the beauty you have shared with us with this challenge.
ReplyDeleteI could leave the same comment I left on the last card, Michele. Neutrals are your jam and you pull them off beautifully.
ReplyDeleteYour poinsettias look so fabulous in the colors you chose. What a wonderful make to exit, stage left. Your florals are always amazing. It has been a joy to see your creations for the Flower Challenges over time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty for your "swan song" card for TFC! Neutrals were the way to go and I love the addition of the pearls! Thank you for introducing me to TFC, enabling me to add to my inventory, as well as the tons of inspiration you always provide. Mwah!
ReplyDeleteI feel sad whenever a challenge closes, or a shop in town or online, especially one I've enjoyed a lot over the years. Maybe it's just me, but it's like losing a friend. I'm sure glad you'll still be making flower cards because you do make some beauties, such as today's lovely creation. The grays, both warm and cool, are a fabulous combination.
