The Flower Challenge #105

Our challenge this month at The Flower Challenge is adding embellishments to our floral cards!  With the many gems, dots, and sequins in our stash this should not be a challenge at all!
But there is another way - and one I must admit that may be less 'trendy'
but I continue to use and that is: Stickles!

Stickles are especially wonderful when used to bring life to our
flower stamens and centers.  They are a bit elusive with the camera but
here is a closeup ...

You can see that I've added a few PFS gems as well and gave the
simple die-cut sentiment [SSS Painted Congrats] a lift with foam squares.
This gorgeous Betterpress-ed image is Charming Floral Background
from Alex Syberia Designs pressed in grey and stencil-colored with these inks:

I am not one for a lot of glitz and glamour, but a little twinkle is fine by me!  I hope you will be sharing a few new-to-me embellishments on your cards!  Now let's go see what the rest of the team have used... btw don't forget the flowers!

  3. A fabulous colour combination on this beauty. The grey background is perfect with those pink blooms. The addition of the stickles is so pretty and just the right amount of shine. I myself have tons of them I really must get them out to play.

  11. Simply beautiful! Yes, we all forget our beloved embellishments since the ink blend layering and foiling, but you've resurrected those stickles very well -- great idea to use them for stamens!

  13. Such a beautiful panel, with or without the bling. I agree that Stickles are somewhat underrated and maybe "old school" but it sure packs a punch!

  15. Michele, your card is stunning with or without embellishments! I also love Stickles and I do use them quite often on holiday cards, but I will have to remember your use here, it looks great on the stamen. As always, love your card!

  17. What a great challenge! Though I was worried for a moment that you were going to throw your card out the window.... or were you attracting the birds?

  18. The Stickles added shine and dimension to those stamens, Michele, and elevated the look of the already beautiful flowers.
