Joanne has challenged us to keep it clean and simple for Challenge #738 at The Paper Players - Things that Fly!
Way back when, I created THIS card for a special Hop that I wanted to
recreate today after being inspired by DT member Jan Clothier's card.
Of course I would choose a butterfly, right?
It is a reminder to have Milkweed planted in your gardens for those Monarch butterflies
to lay their eggs - and lots of flowers for them to nourish themselves!
It's a bit early for our friends to be back but we are ready for them!
Thank you, Jan for the beautiful inspiration!

Thank you, Paper Players!
Your butterfly card is a beautiful tribute to nature and such a perfect fit for the challenge! Love the gentle reminder about planting milkweed—Monarchs will surely appreciate your garden prep.

ReplyDeleteLove those pops of color.
ReplyDeleteYour rainbow of little butterflies is so pretty against the simple outline of the flower Michele...total CAS perfection my friend! And I love how you signed off with your name in rainbow colors too...sweet!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet reminder how wonderful our butterflies can be! Love the gentle, sweet pops of color on your otherwise b&w card too -- very direct!

ReplyDeleteWOW! These teeny, tiny butterflies make a BIG impact! What a great design, my friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and thoughtful design and I love it! The more Monarchs the better. I've driven through the Oregon Cascades during migration and it is a sight to behold, but it can be a perilous journey for the Monarchs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and creative design, you are always so inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous CAS card Michele! The line drawn flower is perfect to highlight those tiny colourful butterflies and you're so right, we should all grow more butterfly-friendly plants. Thanks for playing along with our CAS 'things that fly' challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, your card is CAS perfection! I love the rainbow of tiny butterflies, too! The slanted sentiment is perfect! So happy you joined us at The Paper Players this week!

ReplyDeleteOh it can't get any cuter or simpler than that! A black and white image + rainbow butterflies?? Love it just as much as your earlier rendition which I totally remember!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in every way!
ReplyDeleteThe details are what make your card design extra special, Michele. The half embossed panel, the die impression, the jaunty angle of the flower. The colorful butterflies are the topping on the sundae.
ReplyDeleteI love this! The line-drawn flower is pretty on its own, but those brightly-colored butterflies just make me smile! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Players this week!
