It's not a record-breaking performance, but I've written the sentiments, signed and stuffed 195 one-of-a-kind Christmas cards for Bring Smiles to Seniors! Yay!
2024 will be extra special as this year, I'm hand-delivering these to two assisted living centers in my very own community - if only I could be present when each one is opened!
Now, I have plenty of time to get those holiday cards I send to family and friends ready for the post!
A few weeks ago, I shared a new stencil from Alex Syberia but haven't shared the die set I added to my stash: Whimsy Blooms Bouquet! Here are the first cards made using this fun set - two styled as Mistletoe:
Speaking of Mistletoe - one more... Marcia brought me the sweetest little PB set for my birthday! Thanks tons my sweet friend! [btw I now have the die, too!]
195 cards, very well done. That deserves to be celebrated, and still you are making stunning one of a kind Christmas cards. These are all great. Yes, that is a pretty special embossing folder. Lucky you to have a friend like Marcia xx
ReplyDeleteThese are all so lovely! You are such an inspiration. Bless your heart for the donation you've worked on. Doesn't it feel great to share your love this way and bring joy to others? That's the best part of this craft/passion!
ReplyDeleteYep, you have earned the stamp of Card Queen! 👑. Fabulous cards today too!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a whole lot of cardmaking love for all the seniors lucky to receive a card! I'm sure it will be a heartwarming experience to deliver them, too. And all your mistletoe cards are gorgeous, right down to those PB cuties! Is there a red and green challenge somewhere??
ReplyDeleteGod bless you for thinking of those seniors, Michele. I'm sure your pretty cards are going to be greatly appreciated and bring many smiles! I have many smiles, one for each of your wonderful cards today! That is an awesome EF. I don't think I've seen that one, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteOh, my, I love the whimsy of your mistletoe cards -- the dies and all the backgrounds. Of course, your Penny Black kids are as adorable as ever. Each card is so beautifully done. My hat is off to you getting all those 195 unique cards done for the seniors! You are a blessing!
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing human. Kind to all. The recipients are going to be so happy to receive one of your cards. The cards you shared here are simply beautiful. Wow!
ReplyDeleteSo many seniors experience social isolation, and I know your cards will be so welcomed as each of your gorgeous pieces of art are opened. The ASD cards are so gorgeous. I especially love the colors. Choosing them is one of your special powers. And the PB card... so sweet. I really don't think I will get even close to the # of Christmas cards I would like to have to send. Yay you for gifting 195 and then having enough for friends and family. You are a wonder!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Michelle what a labor of love! Those folks are going to be overjoyed this holiday season! GREAT JOB!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are always so inspiring and I love what you have to share today!! Well done my friend! Thanks!
More wonderful cards, and bless you for the 295 other cards! What a great feeling that has to be! Me? Still working on my "required" list - ugh.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, congrats on the 195 Christmas cards for the seniors...they're going to LOVE those!! And your mistletoe cards (and one turned into a bouquet) are ALL FABULOUS...backgrounds and all! Of course the mistletoe couple has my heart though and I just love the colors!! ReplyDeleteWow!!! 195 cards for those in the Assisted Living Facilities, congrats on this accomplishment. I know the recipients will love them. Your cards today are beautiful. The one with the sweet kissing couple is my favorite, especially with that frame and the lovely green color. Thanks for sharing all these beauties.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with how many seniors you will make happy with those Christmas cards, Michele! What amazing feat! And now two more beautiful mistletoe Christmas cards and I love the darling bouquet! And that sweet couple kissing under the mistletoe is adorable and perfectly framed!

ReplyDeleteI had no idea you had to hand write and sign all those cards, Michele. Kudos to you for sticking with the project every year. Your new array of cards for your friends and family are terrific and creative with that die set. I'm loving that PB frame too and those kids under the mistletoe fit in there perfectly.
