Color Hues - shhhhhh!!

pssst... don't tell... I MAY HAVE opened up a birthday gift from Tom a little bit early!!  But when Karen announced her Black & Red challenge at Color Hues?  It just HAD TO BE DONE!! lol

As most of us do, I handed over the buy button on a list of things I wanted from Spellbinders to my husband - he didn't mind not having to shop, believe me!  BUT at the top of my list was this die set which I totally chose because he loves polar bears so much.  Okay enough chit chat...  for Color Hues #98:

Jules - you inspired my nearly stamp-free design - of course I'm
blaming you for that early birthday present sneak!

Also, from my desk... these two carolers that were all colored up before the
Color Hues blog posted the new challenge this morning... great minds?
Isn't it funny that these are two of a trio and Marcia chose the third for her DT card?

I found three lines from three favorite Christmas carols in a PTI set -
perfectly in time, and in tune!

I'll be back tomorrow - happily guesting at the Penny Black on Saturday Challenge - hope to see you then!  Thanks for all your kindness this week!

  2. I used to do this for Rich, but it's been a while. Happy early birthday, Michele! I LOVE your early gift of these fabulously cute critters! Your card is beautifully put together. Oh, and I love that doily snowflake, too! Of course, the darling carolers are precious and sweet and fun. As Hilary mentioned, you're in cute mode, and I have to say it makes me very happy!

  7. I'm loving the CUTE mode too Michele and this new set from Tom made the perfect card for our challenge...I can totally see why you had to open it early! That bear and penguin are ADORABLE and I'm loving that snowflake too! (In fact, can you cut one or two out for me to bring home next week? Pretty please with sugar on top??!!) And it must be serendipity (I love that word!) that made us think alike about the carolers...your card is sooooo SWEET!! Awesome post today my friend and thanks so much for sharing with us at Color Hues! Hugs. :0)

  13. I would have used this set for a card for the challenge until I saw Marcia's and then yours, Michele. Now that the trio is complete I'll go another way. I do enjoy those carolers in their gray striped outfits with red hats and scarves.

  14. I am humbly honored to be of inspiration. I adore your card! The critters are adorable but it's that doily snowflake is what really sets this apart for me. I also love that you and Marcia have crafty ESP. LOL!!! For my recent birthday I ordered myself a new handbag and then told my hubby thank you for the awesome gift. ROFL! It's a win/win in our household. Thanks for the mention!

  16. That bear is just too adorable in his red stripe sweater with his little buddy! I couldn't resist him either and went out of my spending moratorium to buy him. I may have also did it again to buy the sloth die this month. Also, isn't that protocol - order things ourselves, then just show our hubs and say "thanks, how thoughtful"! LOL. Those carolers are cute as buttons too in their tights and red caps.

  17. There's just so much cuteness to behold here, Michele! The bear and penguin are the sweetest duo - love the way you used the CH colors and dressed these two up for a frosty day. That snowflake in the background is a wonderful element as is the tilted frame. Fabulous design. I can almost hear the sweet little voices coming from those carolers. I love them and every time I see them I smile. I love the starry, snowy background you gave them and your coloring is so wonderful, as always.

  24. Michele both of your cards are sooo adorable! I didn't get the small die last month and the more I see it the more I wish I had. Your bear and Penguin are the absolute cutest and you showcased this die so well. Love it! Thank you so much sharing with us at the Color Hues!
