I had a wonderful time at Marcia's yesterday - more on that soon, promise. But I've had these PB Merry Days cuties on my desk for a few weeks now since my return from North Carolina ... can you blame me? They are so sweet and fun to color -
I often forget that there is a wonderful challenge that is ALL ABOUT Penny Black:
Penny Black on Saturday! [Thanks, J.M. for the sweet reminder!]
September's challenge is Anything Goes or Anything but Square... forgive me if
I'm confused... should it be square? Oh well, we'll soon find out!
You'll see I've used the PB Classy Frames again - along with their Triangle Pattern embossing folder for that bottom section from one of Jill Foster's Sketches for my card design. I have always been a sketch fan and still miss CASE this Sketch!
Here are a few more of my recent water-colored card sessions... I hope the recipient has received it by now! Here is my gorgeous inspiration - thanks, Tom!
An oldie from MFT - Don't you LOVE her saddle shoes?? Whose parents didn't have that set of Samsonite?
One more? These gorgeous Memento Magnolias sent to me by my friend Bonnie! They were such a treat to assemble - with the instructions and photos she included that is!
These pieces were water colored individually and then assembled and
mounted on a rectangle panel [EH] that had been treated to a watery wash
of leftover distress inks and Delicata Gold stamping with a Wplus9 background stamp - also added to the envelope. This card is a 5x7" and I hope to hand deliver it to my youngest daughter soon.
Okay, friends, that's it from me - I brought LOTS of Penny Black stamped images from Marcia's to color! I better get to it! Thanks for the visit!

Did I forget to tell you this sweet mountain miss had arrived? I'm sorry. I've been enjoying her sitting smack dab in the center of the window sill where everyone can see her. Your bears are such a delight colored and framed for a special card! You have done a magnificent job with the magnolias! The background shows the white flowers beautifully! Your daughter will love it!
ReplyDeleteAn amazing trio of cards. My hands down favourite is the middle one. Love that little scene and sentiment. Your magnolia card looks very special too and at 5x7 it's quite large too. The flower spray fits it perfectly, so I can see why it had to be xx
ReplyDeleteYes, please indeed! Oh, my my heart... the first two are so adorably sweet! I love the scene on the second card, as well as the real life scene in the photo. And the sentiment is absolutely precious. And, ohhh, those magnolias! I have a bunch of this collection and love it all. Your card is jaw dropping gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe magnolias are stunning on the water wash background, Michele. I love those sweet bears and your coloring really brought them to life. Same for the darling girls and her mountain view.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness... those bears! What a perfectly darling card. And yes, I do love her little saddle shoes. What a sweetie she is. Blue Ridge mountains, I'm guessing. Always a joy to drive through them! Pretty magnolias too. Three fabulous makes, Michele. Looking forward to seeing what you and Marcia created!
ReplyDeletePS Thanks for the get well wishes! xo
ReplyDeleteYour trio of cards are wonderful Michele!! You know I love those bears and the MFT cutie, but the Magnolia card is my favorite! The background is just perfect for those lovely, lovely blooms! FABULOUS cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful trio of cards. Love those sweet bears and the way you colored and framed them. The MFT card is colored great. Those magnolias are lovely. I think I agree with Marcia, the magnolia card is my favorite (you know I love floral cards).
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! I love all the PB stamps but the oldie MFT is pretty special too, especially her shoes. Love your coloring, Michele -- btw, hoping to get to my PB stamps soon!
ReplyDeleteA trio of sheer delight with a gorgeous photo too, for good measure. Wow, wow, wow! Aren't we lucky??
ReplyDeleteYour darling bears couldn't be any cuter! I love the vintage script and postal them going on behind the scene. The "miss you" card is precious too! Love these sweet little MFT images. The magnolia card is absolutely stunning too. My goodness, I could use a dose of your artistic talent.
ReplyDeleteWow--those magnolias look so realistic! I'm sure Bonnie instructed you well. So gorgeous with the watery look.
ReplyDeleteDidn't mean to overlook your PB entries. I think you nailed the "anything but a square" challenge, and once again your coloring is superb! And that Birdie Brown traveler is nostalgic and sweet!
ReplyDeleteThose bears are so sweet and colored wonderfully. The miss you card is sweet too, love the background you did with it. The flowers are just beautiful, like the light text in the background!
ReplyDeleteYour bears are adorable, and I love their frame and the wonderful background you created with the EF's and the strip of black (is it black? Your little traveler is so, so wonderful. Your Tom's photo inspired background is too. What a gorgeous photo and I love your interpretation of it! The flowers are so beautiful. I love when you do your mopping magic!
