Popping in with two cards made for two different challenges - let's get to it shall we?
Color Throwdown #812 inspired the color for this gorgeous Immense JOY finally came home to roost in my studio - today CCC, Spellbinders' and C&9th came to my aid for its premier:
Colorado Craft Co.'s Christmas Hats - Penny Black Immense Joy - C&9th Tree Topper
and Spellbinders' Pine Betterpress plate
Although he never made it to the top of the tree, our Calvin was often
found in our live Christmas trees! Maybe he was chasing that mouse?
The gals at Peace on Earth Christmas have the most gorgeous photo inspiration loaded with such gorgeous jewel-toned rainbows:
This JOY is amazing and so is that pine background. Thanks to you I have some to play with. Cute critters that make this even more fun! I love your rainbow Christmas trees! So fun!
ReplyDeleteOoh I love the second one. So clever. I think you need to get your foiling machine out if you want some brilliance, but for me it is perfect just as it is xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous twice! You know I love the critters, and the second card is so cool! Our cats never got to the top of the tree either, but the neighbor's orange mischief maker would dart in whenever the door was open and make a beeline for the tree. We loved him!
ReplyDeleteI have the JOY. Now I need to get home to match it with some Christmas stamps. I love yours with the cat and mouse. I also have the triangle tree set and have never thought to make an entire background with the stamps. It is fabulous and colorful, Michele!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, and your memories are fun too! That big JOY is on my list but I just haven't purchased it -- yet
ReplyDeleteYour joy card is purrrrr-fect Michele and the little paper mouse and kitty fit so well on this awesome card!! Your rainbow tree card is awesome too...never would have thought to make them a background like that, but I love it!! Two awesome cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteHello old friend its been a LONG time since I have been on blogger though have kept an eye on it through the years :) and as usual you have knocked the ball out of the park with this one! Love the Joy sentiment it just popped out at me on the thumbnails x
ReplyDeleteSo much joy in this post! Oh golly, that kitty with the hat is fabulous! Thanks for sharing these holiday delights!
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic cards Michele! Love the little critters with big JOY, and your colorful Christmas trees make a fun background. Yep! Two fantastic cards.
ReplyDeleteThese are both perfectly delightful! I love the little fella in the Y!!
ReplyDeleteI love your kitty JOY card. So pretty and fun - a unique combination!
ReplyDeleteOh, your PB kitty fills me with JOY! He looks so festive and happy! And your second card, while not jewel toned, per se, is genius and gorgeous, too!
ReplyDeleteLove that JOY card with the cute cats and the pretty background. Very colorful tree card.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Jo x
ReplyDeleteMichele that big, bold JOY is so eye-catching and I love the pine background too! As for the other card - so fresh and modern and what's not to love about a rainbow, Christmas or otherwise?!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness ... both cards are amazing! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Peace On Earth challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
