Hello, my friends! I had just enough time last evening to catch up on Penny Black's Permission to Play series while Tom was at our observatory photographing the stars! [in case you're wondering why I didn't go: just think about millions of mosquitoes and you'll find your answer] Here is number 7, and 8 in the series:
Jill's Dynamic Diagonal embossed feature in Series #7 was the
right time to use their Encircle folder for a little pond for my Little Guy!
HoneyBee Hooked on You sentiment
After fussy-cutting him out, I used a bit of the scrap to create a
dock jutting out over the pond from a grassy hillside - use your imagination, okay?
Sketch #8 asks us to add a die cut edge to our panel and to add a die cut sentiment...
PF Classic Edgers and Take Care die - Sunny Studio Woodgrain ef - PB Little Guys
I have chosen the colors from Color Throwdown #800 to paint
this little sailor - he might be going off the deep end... take care!
It's hard to believe it's the end of our vacation week - back to the grind for Tom, and the normal everyday goings on for me! We had a wonderful week driving over the Mighty Mackinac bridge to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan... water falls galore, a Lake of the Clouds on top of Porcupine Mountain and fun looking out for moose - which remained hidden from our view! We drove 1250 miles and rolled over 50,000 miles on the Prius Prime - time for a trade in? lol [I'll do anything to go back to visit our friends in New York again!]

You're definitely getting good use from this PB stamp set Michele and both cards are FABULOUS! Your water coloring skills are awesome on both these sweet little guys and am loving your CAS backgrounds so all the focus is on them! Sweet, sweet cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteAll your pb permission to play posts are full of eye candy for sure. Loving the christmas cards thrown in the middle. And well the flowers...they make me swoon. Enjoy your trip.
ReplyDeleteThat's about the same number of kilometers we drove on our last trip, with most of it in the first week, until we settled down at the beach to fish lol. But ours was mostly outback driving but on bitumen as the dirt roads were unsafe and a lot were closed because of the rain. We saw 1000's of emus, hundreds of kangaroos, feral goats, pigs even a fox in the daytime... and camels, but definitely no moose (although we do have feral deer in Australia). Anyhow enough about me and onto your cute cards, they are such fun and that take care sentiment is perfect!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun cards! I've loved those Penny Black videos. And I do remember when you came to "collect" your new car, and I was lucky enough to meet you! We've long talked about driving up along the southern shore of Lake Superior so I looked up the location of the beautiful falls you posted. One of these days we'll take the long way to Wisconsin.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are gems, Michele. I am so enamored with your watercoloring! Do you use the same color (Watering Can) that the gal who does the videos uses (See I did watch a little, that's how intrigued I am with this idea after seeing your cards). I sure hope your little friend with the ship doesn't go too far there! Your trip sounds lovely. I'm glad you were able to go an enjoy! Have a great week getting back into the swing of things. :)
ReplyDeleteAll of your PB cards in this series have been awesome, Michele! You rival Jill in creativity. I LOVE the pond and dock for this little fisherman! And the little guy with the sailboat is adorable and the woodgrain embossing worked perfectly for his pond! Your trip sounds fabulous, the mosquitoes not so much.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are just so sweet and I'm in awe of your watercoloring skills! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CTD this week!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your trip turned out to be a great one, Michele.
ReplyDeleteI'm also glad you're keeping up with the Permission videos. Those boys are adorable and work so well with the different designs. I plan to do some of them this Fall, especially with Christmas cards.
These little fellas you've been using are too cute for their own good! This is such a sweet pair of cards today. We did a little exploring in the UP a few years back. Tahquamenon Falls was a pretty spot. Would love to have seen a moose, but no luck there for us either!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying these little watercolour images, so cute. Great takes on the sketches too. I am glad you enjoyed your holiday. They all come and go so quickly xx
ReplyDeleteTwo adorable cards Michele. LOVE these sketches and am playing along too, although not in order. :) xx
ReplyDeleteLOVE your two sweet cards, they're perfect in every way! I have had my eye on this set, and now wonder WHY it isn't in my stash. Until then, I'll enjoy yours. As for the "thousands", I'm with you -- stay at home when the mosquitos are out...
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed your vacation; and yes they go too fast!
Michelle these are so adorable!I love those little sweeties!
ReplyDeleteI could not love that little fisher-guy more... oh wait. Yes, I can. When you give him a dock that sticks out of a grassy hill to perch from. Seriously, you never cease to amaze me... And little sail boat guy is just the sweetest holding his beloved sailboat so carefully. I just love these.
ReplyDeleteWhile youe were rolling along and clicking off the miles I was just hanging out by the lake like these two sweet guys!
