When Mother Nature changes her mind every other day, you ride the wave - what else is there to do? So, when I woke up yesterday morning to 2" of snow, I decided it was the perfect day to add to my Christmas 2024 stash!
I set out to make one of my only Santa stamps [Pinkfresh Simple Joy] look a little vintage - but it might be a total fail... you tell me...
Something about the paper and colors makes them look 'aged' right?
But it certainly doesn't hold a candle to the gorgeousness found in their Peace on Earth #60 photo inspiration:
From there, it was just a bit of fun with my 'handwritten' letter to Santa:
One last card for today. This one was created when TK was here visiting ... we were
practicing our 'loose' water coloring! Colorado Crafts [Snowman and Bunnies] to the rescue every time!

Wherever you live, I do hope your weather feels and looks more like Spring! Or if not, try to make the best of it!

You are right, making the best of it is all we can do. What a fun and quirky set of Christmas cards. I would call that first one vintage with a modern twist xx
ReplyDeleteHappy to share some heat my friend lol.
ReplyDeleteLove your vintage take on these cute sets, oh my but I need to start making some cards, work is getting in the road lol. Maybe tomorrow... thanks for teasing me with your beautiful inspiration!
It has a vintagey look but it's his snazzy striped socks and fuzzy slippers I can't take my eyes off of! These are all oodles of fun, Michele! Snuggle in and keep those cards coming! XO
ReplyDeleteI love your vintage Santa, what a cute, fun image! The others are just as charming...love those little CC bunnies so much!
ReplyDeleteFun vintage Santa and a great collection of cards overall. What a fun play session you had. The good thing about spring storms is they generally melt quickly, right? It's been very sunny and spring like here, but rain's a'comin' and maybe some of the white stuff, too. Buckle up, Buttercup! Crafty hugs!
ReplyDeleteLOVE them all Michele!! That Santa image is just too stinkin' CUTE and I'm loving all the ways you used him! Your backgrounds are awesome on all of them too!! And your snowman and bunny card is just as sweet as can be and awesome water coloring too! Such a FUN post and it looks like you had a perfect snow day!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteWonderful additions to your stash Michele. The snow sure put you in the perfect mood to create these sweet greetings.
ReplyDeleteHaha, he's cute! Maybe the first card has somewhat of a vintage vibe to it. Vintage depends on your age, I think. Mid-century modern maybe? I love the stamps and the backgrounds. The bunny and snowman card is so sweet and cute. Your snow day was well spent, Michele!
ReplyDeleteMy family in the Northeast got 2 feet of snow so 2 inches is a bargain, my friend! I guess I'll just have to roll with the pollen...and sneeze! Love your Santa cards! The first does have a vintage feel and I love the background of the next two trying to define good. The snowman is adorable with the sweet rabbit fixing his nose! Love the coloring!
ReplyDeleteSpring seems to be completely missed out here in Greece over the last few years we go straight from winter to summer which comes later and later each year. As for those gorgeous cards defo vintage in my book. I love the handwritten letter and how Santa is relaxing in his underwear, well that's what it looks like to me.

Fabulous way to use that solitary Santa, Michele. I love the "Define Good".
ReplyDeleteSuch delightful holiday cards - and you are already building up a great stash!
ReplyDeleteThree adorable cards! I love Vintage Santa, Pondering Santa and Snowman & Bunnies is ALWAYS adorable. Do tell what that background stamped behind the Santas are... So FUN, Michele
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous batch of Christmas cards! Love the cat helping Santa with his letters in the first one. Great sentiments on all the cards. And adorable rabbit stealing the snowman's nose! Thank you so much for joining us at Peace on Earth!
