Altenew Inspiration Challenge February 2024

It has been a while since I have played in the Altenew Inspiration Challenge - Kelly's gorgeous photo was all the inspiration I needed to play this month!  Check it out:

Isn't this fantastic??  Kelly found this mural during a visit to Cincinnati.
We have a local artist who has transformed some of
the overpasses in our area.  There is also such a mural as this on
the blank side of a local furniture store here in Norton Shores.  But
none start with this gorgeous charcoal grey.... and you know well that
is all the inspiration I needed, right?

Armed with these inks:

and the latest purchase from Altenew I got to work as soon
as I retrieved that package from the mailbox!

After stamping and stenciling these gorgeous Blooming Delights,
I gave them a quick cut so I could arrange them as I'd like over my
charcoal card base which has been dry embossed with my favorite
Altenew Geo Steps folder:

Thanks, Kelly! and thank YOU for dropping by!

  1. The mural is spectacular and now I'm thinking your card is, too! I love the splash of color against the embossed charcoal. Wow! I love how you go straight from the mailbox to your stamping table and create something so gorgeous.

  5. Perfect, Michele! There is a huge dumpster near one of the city buildings that has been painted! The wildflowers on the black background is so pretty! And so are your bright colored flowers on the charcoal background!

  10. I was just working on my card for that very challenge, Michele. Oh how I'd love to see that mural in person. Your big orange bloom is gorgeous and pairs well with the lavender ones. I was thinking of using the same embossing folder but now I won't. ;)

  15. Michele!! Gah! Your card is amazing!! Your textured charcoal panel really sets off your new blooms ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’œ AND is that black cardstock I spy underneath the charcoal sentiment die?! So smart for an actual and visual shadow. I’m jealous you have a local street artist - I have to go into the city for my local hunting. But my new hobby sure makes visiting new cities doubly exciting : ) so glad you played along, thrilled to see you!
