I can always depend on my friend Marcia to get me out a slump - even when she totally challenges me with her chosen colors as hostess of Color Hues #78...
I reached for some neutral greys and found just the right hues of blue to add the first ink to this lovely Create your own Happy set from Alex Syberia Designs:
I tucked a scalloped panel of navy under my stamped panel and my 'work'
here is done!
I'm not sure I really like the 'celebrate' in this sentiment stamped in blue, but since it is almost 'one layer' I'm leaving well enough alone. I did give the final panel a trip through that favored SU Subtle Texture embossing folder before adding it to my card base. Somehow it always seems the right finishing touch!

ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to accept an element that you feel is not quite right. It is not worth risking the whole card for. Love the soft cool colours on this one and especially the tiny peak of the scalloped edge poking out. Gorgeous xx
