Good Saturday morning to you all! I'm just popping into your weekend for a moment - promise! I was so sad to hear Dawn Woleslagle announce the closing of Wplus9 shop recently... I have had so much admiration for her products over the years. In fact, some of my first online purchases were made there! But there is also good news! She will be continuing to share all of her talent with us on her YouTube channel! YAY!
I was happy to do a little shopping before the doors closed permanently - here are a few cards made with a few sets that I can tick off of my wish list...
Thank you, Jules for giving me the perfect reason/time to go for red and gold!
I stamped and gold heat embossed this cover stamp onto some black watercolor paper that my sweet friend Coni sent me long ago! thanks to you in Heaven!
Then a mix of gold Gansai Tambi paints were used to color them.
An Altenew Ornate Nesting die was used to cut the sentiment that was also heat embossed in gold.
You'll have to check the Color Hues #76 gallery to see which card makes the cut - oh and while you're there you might as well add a card of your own, right? The more the merrier!
=] Michele
Both cards are absolutely BEAUTIFUL Michele! I've had this stamp set for a couple years now and just love the elegance of it! The 1st card done on the black is SO STRIKING and that POP of red for the sentiment is just beautiful! Lovely, lovely cards...thanks for sharing both these beauties with us at The Color Hues Challenge!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are stunningly beautiful!! Did you know you can link up more then one card from the same post (link) just by adding #A or #B and so on after the last letter on the link line, sometimes it takes it out and you just do it again and it usually holds the 2nd time, that way you could enter both your cards there!!
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards showing off the challenge colors.
ReplyDeleteDawn is such an inspiration, I'm so happy that she is continuing to make cards and desgin for us at Youtube. LOVE your beautiful tribute designs, especially that bold dark background!
ReplyDelete@ great cards, thanks for showcasing that stamp in 2 different ways. Wonderful inspiration xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeousness! It hardly looks like the same stamp set on both cards with the creative way you used it. Love each in its own way!
ReplyDeleteThe gold on black is so striking, Michele.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are stunning, but the first one wins the prize for dramatic contrast! I love the touches of red you added to the berries as well as the metallic paints. As always, we're so happy to see you in the Color Hues gallery!
ReplyDeleteOh, both are so beautiful! Glad you snagged those stamps, too. I didn't know WPlus9 was closing but I was wondering why Dawn was doing YouTube videos for Honeybee Stamps. At least we'll still be able to see her work ;)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a perfect set for all the gold and a red punch! So beautifully designed, Michele.
ReplyDeleteDawn shutting the doors on WPlus9 was sad to hear, so I'm glad you snagged this wonderful stamp set and created these two stunning cards! I'm so smitten with the gold on black version - love the elegance of it. It's always so wonderful to see your gorgeous cards in the CH gallery, Michele, thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards, and I'm sure you're positively thrilled that you got those "wants" off your list! Love both cards, red/gold/blk and red/gold -- pretty and elegant
