Jacquie is our host over at Freshly Made Sketches this week and I really love her sketch. After making my card, I questioned whether or not five items were required - I hope not!
I spent a day with my sweet friend Marcia - she let me play with her goodies from the Pinkfresh Create class she took... more on that very soon!
We have had the worst week weather wise - clouds and rain for days! I promise this little stripe-y ornament is the sweetest of greens from The Stamp Market! lol
How cute is this! I bought this EF at the end of the year last winter and can't wait to break it in this year. It looks terrific here. You know I always wish for one of those play dates with you and Marcia... one day! XO
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfectly fun take on the sketch Michele, how clever!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty make using those supplies from the Stamp Market. That was one of my favorite sets in the kit and your card is beautiful inspiration to use it again!
ReplyDeleteI think your little ornament is the CUTEST! Fresh and fun and so joyous too!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely wonderful interpretation of the sketch! Love the stripes on all that white. So clean and crisp!
ReplyDeleteOh this is just delightful, Michele. Love the embossed background. Heck, I just love your attention to detail on each of your cards. Bummer about the yucky weather. Hope the sun breaks through for you very soon! Meantime, keep making sunshine in your crafty space!
ReplyDeleteOh Michele...this turned out SO pretty!! CAS perfection and just STUNNING!! I love how you made the J & Y into ornaments like the center and your embossed background is gorgeous! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteThis is a true delight, Michele! Love the embossed background, but even more I love the ornament caps connecting your pieces to the twine. Simply perfect! Thanks for playing along with us at FMS this week.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to turn the joy into a garland and I really like the muted colour, it helps show off the dimension xx
ReplyDeleteSo fun and fresh looking with that cute ornament, along with the J & Y ornaments. Love the embossed background also. Great card. So glad you had a fun and crafty day with Marcia.
ReplyDeleteI love your ornament letters, Michele. Or is it letter ornaments? Whichever they are so fun.
ReplyDeleteAmazing....like seriously....AMAZING....you're perfection!
ReplyDeleteOh my...Beautiful texture from your dry EB background for your hanging LARGE die cut JOY. Michele. How fun to have a play day with Marcia. I can't wait to see what she created too. So much fun when creative friends get together:-)
ReplyDeleteI am working on my Christmas cards making duplicates with a little difference in each card...which keeps me from getting bored:-) I have 26 done to go with my 7 one of a kind cards that I had in my stash. Tomorrow I will start making 10 more of a slightly different design...It makes my stash grow quickly and perfect for friends and family who do not make homemade cards:-)
TFS your Gorgeous holiday cards, my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy
I see the sketch and a beautiful Christmas card too, Michele! Love that shade of green and all the wonderful texture! I hope your weather improves so you can enjoy the fall.
ReplyDeleteThis beautiful card definitely adds joy to the world!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Michele!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever take on the sketch! (And 5 items are definitely not required.) The texture and dimension you've created are fabulous. So happy to see you again at FMS.
ReplyDeleteSuper clever and fun designs! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love your use of "JOY" as the banner. It's so lovely with the beautiful embossed background and the simple white and green colors!
ReplyDeleteI love your creative take on the sketch, Michele, with the Christmas ornaments as banners! The fir branch embossed background adds so much interest to this white-on-white design. Love the shade of green of the bauble stripes as well.
